Air traffic service is a generic term meaning variously, flight information service, alerting
service, air traffic advisory service

 Air traffic advisory service is a service provided within advisory airspace to ensure
separation, in so far as practical, between aircraft which are operation on IFR flight plans
 Alerting Service is a service provided to notify appropriate orgaanizations regarding
aircraft in need of search and rescue aid, and assist such organizations as required.
 Flight Information service is A service provided For the purpose of giving and
information useful for the safe and efficient conduct of flights.

Air traffic control service. A service provided for the purpose of :

a. Preventing collisions :
a. Between aircraft, and
b. On the maneuvering are (runway + taxiway) a between aircraft ad obstructions
and
b. Expediting and maintaining an orderly flow of air traffic.

Air traffic control unit is A generic term meaning variously, area control centre, approach
control unit or aerodrome control tower
Air traffic service reporting office is A unit established for the purose of receiving reports
concerning air traffic services and flight plans submittd before departure
Flight information centre is A unit established to provide flight information service and
alerting service
OBJECTIVES OF THE AIR TRAFFIC SERVICE( TUJUAN DARI PELAYANAN LALU
LINTAS PENERBANGAN)

a. Prevent collisions between aircraft ( mencegah tabrakan pesawat)

b. Prevent collisions between aircraft on the maneuvering area and obstruction on that area (
mencegah tbrakan antar pesawat di maneuvering area \
c. Expedite and maintan an orderly flow of air traffic (mempercepat dan menjaga
kelancaran arus lalu lintas udara)
d. Provide advice and information useful for the safe and efficient conduct of flight(
memberikan saran dan informasi yg berguna bagi keselamatan dan efisiensi penerbangan)
e. Ntify appropriate organizations regarding aircraft in need of search and rescue aid, and
assist such organizations as reguired.( memberitahukan organisasi yg

Division of ats
The air traffic services shall comprise three service identified as follows.
a. The air traffic control service
a. Area control service (ACC)
b. Approach control service ( APP)
c. Aerodrome control service (TOWER)
