In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the board to move and sort to learn
about fruits and vegetables and how they affect their energy balance.

Teacher: Start class with review of previous class material.
Slide 1-3: Review Fruits and Vegetables
Slide 4-5: Call upon raised hands to answers questions pertaining to
differences in fruits and vegetables
Slide 6: Select students to come up and engage with the Promethean
Board to match the correct word to the food.
Slide 7: Allow the class to talk aloud with guidance pertaining to the
fruits and vegetables they have eaten or seen before. Allow them to
come enter the information on the board as well.
Slide 8-13: This finale part the students can use as an exit slip for the
day. Short review followed by questions the class will answer as a
whole.
Students: Enter class and engage short introductory review
Slide 1-3: List Fruits and Vegetables
Slide 4-5: Identifying key differences of fruits and vegetables
Slide 6: Students take turns coming up to identify items
Slide 7: Together as a class the students will complete the chart about
fruits and vegetables that are familiar to them.
Slide 8-13: REVIEW! Students will review with their peers and the
instructor to complete a short quiz that will count as an exit slip for
the day.
