Documents required during B.Tech. First Semester Admission 2019

As per the Schedule of Events of JoSAA 2019, physical reporting at admitting Institute is
mandatory for students who have accepted a seat in NIT Silchar. Accordingly, physical
reporting and admission at NIT Silchar shall be held during 19-23 July 2019. All
admitted students will be allotted Hostel and their classes will start from 24 July 2019.
At the time of admission, all the newly admitted B.Tech. students are to produce
Original Certificates/Documents as shown in the following list, along with one set of
photocopies duly self-attested.

1. Marksheets/Grade Cards: Class X and Class XII.

2. Class X admit card/ pass certificate/ birth certificate (any one).
3. Class XII pass certificate, if available.
4. Score Card of Qualifying JEE (Main) 2019.
5. Seat Acceptance Letter issued by JoSAA 2019 Reporting Centre (RC).
6. Upgraded offer letter issued by JoSAA 2019 Reporting Centre (RC), if any.
7. In case OBC (NCL) category students, OBC-Non Creamy Layer Certificate as per
JoSAA 2019 format, issued on or after 01.04.2019.
8. In case of SC/ST category students, Caste Certificate as per JoSAA 2019 format
9. In case of PwD category students, Physical Disability Certificate as per JoSAA
2019 format.
10. In case of EWS category students, EWS Certificate as per JoSAA 2019 format,
issued on or after 01.04.2019.
11. Medical Fitness Certificate as per JoSAA 2019 format.
12. To claim tuition fee waiver, Family/Parental Income Certificate issued by
competent authority, as per guidelines available at the Institute Website
(www.nits.ac.in).
13. Proof of payment of Seat Acceptance Fee during reporting
14. Demand Drafts/Online Payment receipt for the balance amount of fees: Part I (if
applicable) and Part II as per fee structure available at the Institute Website
(www.nits.ac.in).
15. Coloured identical Passport Size Photographs with white background (3
numbers).
16. Photo identity card issued by Govt. agencies/last attended school/Class XII
admit card.
17. Aadhar card, if available.
18. Anti-Ragging Affidavit (a) by the student and (b) by Parent/Guardian on a Non-
Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 10.00 (Ten only), as per the format given in the
Institute Website http://www.nits.ac.in/anti_ragging/anti_ragging.php
