Welcome Back Panthers!
A note from your school counselor, Mr. Zwiebel
Excited to be back!
I hope everyone enjoyed their summer. My
family and I enjoyed time on the beach, zoo trips,
and baby storytimes. We were very busy with
Hayden, our son, who wants to run all over the
place! My wife and I are expecting our 2nd child
(boy) this October so we have been preparing for
that too. Life comes at you fast.
The start of the year is always so exciting
for me. I get to see all the students I’ve missed
and make new friends too. This will be my 8th
year at Fairfield Elementary. I look forward to
working with a wonderful group of teachers and
staff. Truly, the students here at Fairfield make
my job as counselor one of the most rewarding
experiences I could ask for. This year I plan on
continuing to educate, comfort, guide, and
mediate for all students. My ongoing messages
and lessons will hopefully be memorable for the
students so that they can take those powerful
lessons with them as they grow! I will also have
a school counseling intern from Capital joining
me all year, Ms. Jordan Mora. Read more about

How may I help?
Individual Counseling
One on one sessions may help your child
with difficult issues that may be bothering
them. The session topics can include social
skills, anger management, grief/loss, changing
families, self-esteem, anxiety, friend issues,
and other concerns they may be having. The
information shared during individual counseling
sessions are confidential and will be between
only the student(s) and myself unless
disclosure is necessary.
Group Counseling (1st-4th)
Your child may be invited to be a part of
one of our small lunch groups. If you would like
for your child to participate sometime during
the year please take my survey (attached and
on my website) to help me better understand
what group would fit best with your student.

Monthly Classroom Lessons
We will visit your child's classroom
monthly. The lessons range from identifying
feelings to interacting with others, The
lessons can be challenging, but I want our
students to continue to use their growth
mindset and be mindful during the school
year. I use the ASCA national model as a
guideline when creating and choosing my
lessons. You can always follow me on social

School Counseling Intern, Ms. Jordan Mora

A little bit about me!

Hello! My name is Jordan Mora and I am a graduate student from Capital
University, focusing on a master’s degree in school counselor education. I had
the privilege of interning at Fairfield Elementary last spring, and I am so excited
to be back with Mr. Z and the other staff of Fairfield Elementary for the 2019-
2020 school year.
I am 29 years old and grew up in a small town in Ohio. After high school, I
moved to Columbus and attended Capital University for my undergrad, where I
received a bachelor’s in communication. My fiancé and our puppy, Marley, moved
to Canal Winchester a year ago, where we bought our first house. In my free
time, I enjoy reading, crafting, being outdoors, going to sporting events, and
spending time with my 8 nieces and nephews.
I have enjoyed teaching prekindergarten for the past four years, but I am
eager to start this new opportunity as a school counselor. I am looking forward to
learning and working alongside Mr. Z, and excited to meet all of the families and
students at Fairfield Elementary this year!
