A reading from the book of the Prophet Isaiah

Thus says the LORD:

In a time of favour I answer you,
On the day of salvation I help you;
And I have kept you and given you as a covenant to the people,
To restore the land
And allot the desolate heritages,
Saying to the prisoners: Come out!
To those in darkness: Show yourselves!
Along the ways they shall their pastures be.
They shall not hunger or thirst,
Nor shall the scorching wind or the sun strike them;
For he who pities them leads them
And guides them beside springs of water.
I will cut a road through all my mountains,
And make my highways level.
See, some shall come from afar,
others from the north and the west,
and some from the land of Syene.
Sing out, O heavens, and rejoice, O earth,
Break forth into song, you mountains.
For the LORD comforts his people
And shows mercy to his afflicted.

But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me;

My Lord has forgotten me.”
Can a mother forget her infant,
Be without tenderness for the child of her womb?
Even should she forget,
I will never forget you.

PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL

Celebrant: Let us pray to God our Father who is merciful and generous to
all who fear to offend Him and want to live in His love. With confidence we
pray, LORD HEAR OUR PRAYER.

1. For the Holy Catholic Church, for Francis our pope, for Julito our
bishop, and for all bishops, priests and deacons, we pray to the Lord.

2. For the leaders of the world, that they would work together to promote
the good of all, we pray to the Lord.

3. For our school community: that we would continue to form the minds
and hearts of all students, allowing them to grow in faith and intellect,
we pray to the Lord.

4. For us graduates and completers: that we would excel in everything

that we do, and that we would carry the love of Christ with us always,
we pray to the Lord.

5. In thanksgiving for those who have helped our graduates and

completers achieve excellence: for all parents, relatives, teachers,
school administrators and staff, clergy and community members, we
pray to the Lord.

6. For all those who have died, we pray to the Lord.

7. For our own needs and intentions, that we now recall in our hearts…
we pray to the Lord.

Celebrant: Father we come before you with faith and love to praise your
goodness and to acknowledge our need. Let Mary enrich our prayers with
her and give us every good gift through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
