Message
I am delighted to record that National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra is organizing
the 26th National Conference on IC Engines and Combustion (NCICEC 2019) under the
aegis of the Combustion Institute: Indian Section (CIIS). The Combustion research
institute has been working with exciting domains of combustion science including
development of new energy sources producing a low carbon footprint; methanol as
cooking fuel in households as well as transport fuel etc. This requires only minor
modifications to existing engines and fuel-delivery infrastructure. Combustion
scientists are also developing ways to generate electricity from carbon-free fuels such
as hydrogen, or from fuels with a low carbon content such as syngas and suppression
of fire.
This conference will provide a unique forum for engineers and scientists from
academic/research laboratories/ institutions/ industries from India to network and
share technical information on new developments in the field of IC Engines,
Combustion and Propulsion. I congratulate the Institute for this excellent initiative and
wish them all success for this endeavor.

Message
It gives me immense pride to share that NIT Kurukshetra is organizing the 26th National
Conference on IC Engines and Combustion (NCICEC 2019) from 1st to 4th November,
2019 under the auspices of The Combustion Institute: Indian section. The fundamental
research on combustion phenomenon plays a very important role in the field of
missiles, strategic systems and hypersonic propulsion as well as to save planet earth
from pollution. The Conference would provide an ideal platform to all the participating
professionals to deliberate on path breaking and innovative ideas for the benefit of the
combustion fraternity. It will inspire professionals, academicians and scientists from
various labs and organizations to collaborate and share their knowledge to build future
systems. More than 150 distinguished delegates from all over India are expected to
give their contributions in the field of combustion. This attempt at the sustainable
development in the area of combustion is definitely one of its kind and would surely
propel us a step closer to a clean and sustainable future.
I welcome all the speakers and participants and wish NCICEC 2019 a grand success.

This temple of Kurukshetra is one out of the fifty one Shaktipithas of

India. It is believed that right ankle of Sati fell here in the well which is
known as Devikupa. Before Mahabharata battle Pandavas and Lord
Krishna worshipped mother Goddess here for their victory in
Bhadrakali Shaktipitha
Mahabharata battle.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the presiding deity of the
