Solved!   HP CLJ CM4730 MFP 30.01.34 scanner failure

I have one of these with error 30.01.34 scanner failure along with some fan errors...57.03   57.06   57.7. One
of our IT guys replaced the formatter and the LVPS. No help. The 30.01.34 error is not listed in the Service
Intern
Manual, but it seems like the only thing in common with the errors is the DC Controller...Engine test button
23 2 3
does nothing, the unit will not print. Anyone got any suggestions? (other than pass it on to the next guy)

At the moment diagnostics are not possible so if I had any thoughts I would try to minimum spec it.
Remove formatter, cartridges, belt, fuser, also remove connection to the Scanner and ADF so I had just
Kevin_adams
the print engine.

See if I get any sign of life on power up, if you get fans spin for example then you have signs the DC
178 13 26 controller is probably working.

much as possible to see what I can do to make it live.

The reason for taking the fuser out, the LVPS will power the fuser so if it has a fault it might cause the
Low voltage to trip out.

I would just be looking for the spark of life that says it might be living then work outwards.
