Grade 9-Fortitude

I- OBJECTIVES
,
At the end of the lesson the students were able to:

1. Compose forms of literary writing using figurative language. and;


2. Perform the compose forms.

II- SUBJECT MATTER

Title: Literary Devices used from the story Romeo and Juliet
Materials: Manila paper, marker, visual aids, chalk and chalkboard
References: Learner’s Module, Teacher’s Guide and Curriculum Guide

1. Opening Prayer -Call one student to lead the prayer
2. Checking of Attendance - Group roll call.
B. Motivation
Say, “Class we already done with the story -The learners will go to the board and
Romeo and Juliet this time let us have a short identify the scenes that appeal to the
review about the sensory images that is used senses.( Check their work afterwards then
in the story. Tackle Task 7 Connect and Kinect give input.)
page 293 in LM’s. The Teacher will post at the

1. Present the lesson about some literary - Open discussion
devices used from the story Romeo and Juliet.

IV. ASSESSMENT

A. DIFFERENTIATED GROUP ACTIVITY (Integration in MAPEH)

1. Group the learners into four (4). Each group will compose a two stanza literary piece using different
figurative language. Discuss to them the rubric that will be using in their performance. (This activity is allotted
for 30 minutes)
Group 1- Metaphor perform through a dramatic reading
Group 2-Rhyme perform through a song
Group 3- Simile perform through a poem
Group 4- Oxymoron through an interpretative dance
2. Give them ample time to compose and practice the song.
3. Presentation of each group.
4. Give inputs about their presentations.

B. VALUING
Ask learners what they have realized from the activity they have done. Process learner’s answers.
V. ASSIGNMENT
Think of three (3) advantages and three (3) disadvantages of Arranged Marriage and Love Marriage.
(Write it in your notebook)

3. Suriin ang ginawang salin at tiyakin kung ginamit ng tagapagsalin
ang mga katangian ng isang mahusay sa pagsasaling-wika.

Ano ang konsepto ng pagsasaling wika?Tumawag ng ilang mag-aaral upang sumagot


dito.Ipaliwanag ang nais nilang tukuyin at magbigay ng halimbawa.

awitin ito sa buong klase.
Pangkat 2: Isalin ang buod ng talumpati ni Martin Luther King Jr sa kaniyang inagurasyon.
Pangkat 3: Isalin ang tulang “A Psalm of Life” ni Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Pangkat 4: Isalina ang teksto tungkol kay Nelson Mandela
- Ipaliwanag ang gawain at rubric na gagamitin

I- LAYUNIN
Sa pagtatapos ng aralin ang mga mag-aaral ay inaasahang:
1. Naipapaliwanag ang Batayang Konsepto ng Aralin.
2. Naisasagawa ang mga angkop na kilos sa isang mabuting gawaing tumutugon sa pangangailangan
ng kapwa.

binilog na papel habang umaawit ng leron-leron sinta. Kapag tumigil ang pag-awit sabihin kung sino
sa inyong magkaklase ang liban. Gawin ito ng mabilis.)

b. Panlinang na Gawain
- Bilang balik-aral sa tinalakay kahapon, Anong mahalagang konsepto ang iyong natutuhan sa aralin?
Ano ang iyong natutuhan sa kagandahang-loob? (Tumawag ng mga mag-aaral na sasagot sa
mahalagang konseptong natutuhan sa aralin.Magbigay ng dagdag na impormasyon batay sa
nasabing konsepto.

Batay sa inyong takdang-aralin kahapon na kung saan kayo ay naatasang gawin ang

inyong naramdaman matapos niyong gawin ang mga gawaing iniatang sa inyo?Magbigay ng
pagbubuod para sa ginawang dokumentaryo ng bawat pangkat.
