How to Make People Appreciate Patterns More?

Patterns can help a person see things the way he/she has never seen before. It influences
Patterns can be seen from nature, mathematics, science art, architecture, literature, fashion and
human behavior. Pattern recognition can lead to discovering innovative concepts and creating
new ideas. Learning patterns in such a young age will develop important skills like logic, critical
thinking, making educated guesses, formulating assumptions and solving complex problems.
Patterns can involve numbers, letters, symbols, lines and many more. Patterns often have
symmetry which is why it is beautiful to look at. There are many ways for a person to appreciate
patterns. Going outside, appreciating nature and its creation. For instance, looking at the patterns
on a leaf, rings in trees, number of petals flowers have and many more.
To better appreciate patterns, it can be applied in human behavior. Human behavior is
associated with their emotions, thoughts, values, environment, culture and it varies from one
person to another. Human behavior changes from birth until adulthood. People usually can
distinguish a person’s feelings/emotions based on their facial expression and the small actions
they do can be observed. For instance, recognizing a real smile from a fake smile, identifying the
person’s feelings whether he/she is sad or happy and predicting whether a person is telling the
truth or not. Not everyone behaves the same when experiencing problems. A sudden change in a
person’s personalities can indicate many different things. The difference between introvert and
extrovert personalities can be the best example to use. Extroverted people are more outgoing,
open, talkative while introverted people tends to be more quiet. Introverted people tends to speak
less than extroverted people who are comfortable in communicating with other people.
Extroverted people likes to engage in speaking in front of many people while introverted people
prefers to stay quiet. Recognizing human behavior can help a person understand other people’s
behavior even more.

Math in People’s Daily Lives

Math is really difficult to comprehend at first and people are always asking the question:
“why study math?” or “When will I apply math in real life?” Unfortunately, even those people
who hates math cannot escape the fact that its presence is already part of our everyday life. People
use math in their everyday life without them realizing it. It improves a person’s decision making
skills. A person does not need to memorize all formulas to appreciate math. Math can be seen
wherever we look in this universe. It is applied everywhere like the construction of our
infrastructure. Math was not invented by people, scientists and mathematicians discovered the
concepts and principles of mathematics because it is naturally occurring in the universe. Learning
basic math taught us to count, handle money properly, count the change given to us and many
more. Let’s face the fact that without math, people wouldn’t have anything like cars, buildings,
electricity, machines and many more. Also, technologies function with the application of
mathematics in it. Creating a smartphone needs codes for it to function the way its suppose to be,
codes use numbers, letters, variables and mathematical equations. Anything requires mathematics
and physics to work properly. Despite what people might think about math, it doesn’t really require
advanced skills or talent to appreciate it. A person can develop a good appreciation to algebra or
calculus without actually being able to apply in the workplace or at home. A person should just
find the right topic to learn, so that he/she will be intrigued to find out more.
