MANAGEMENT IN C.E.C.S, MAHARLIKA HIGHWAY

I. Introduction:

Dictionary.reference.com defines Climate Change as “long – term

change in the earth’s climate, especially a change due to an increase in
the average temperature: melting glaciers imply that life in the Artic is
affected by climate change”. The increasing global temperature is causing
sea level to rise, glaciers are melting and increase with intense weather
extremes. Climate change impact to our planet awaits us if we do not act
fast. Children and adults must be
aware on climate change’s causes and effect. This study primarily identifi
es how much awareness the students of Cabanatuan East Central
Elementary School handle and their ideas about climate change.

II. Significance of the Study:

The purpose of this study was to identify the respondents’ and

perception and level of awareness on issues on climate change. The study
sought to identify where the respondents hear the information on
climate change and how they trusted the information on climate change.

III. Statement of the Problem:

This study “THE ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AND

MANAGEMENT IN CABANATUAN EAST CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL”
aims must have a better understanding about causes, effects and
adaptation to climate change.

Specifically this study tried to answer the following Questions:

 What the profile of the respondents is in terms of set and grade

level?
 What is the respondent’s level of awareness on climate change?
 What do the respondent’s know about climate change?
 Where do the respondents hear climate change and how much do
they trust the information on climate change?
 What is the significance of climate change to the respondents?
 What do the respondents think caused climate change?
 To what extent do the respondents agree or disagree about issues
of climate change?
 What policies are implemented regarding Climate change, plan
and management at school?
