Erma Lee Wai-shan holds a BMus with


Honours from The Hong Kong Acad-
emy for Performing Arts and an MA in
Music from Hong Kong Baptist Uni-
versity, majoring in music composition
and electronic music. She obtained the
Certificate of Piano Performance,
Analysis and Pedagogy with distinc-
tion from School of Professional and
Continuing Education of The Universi-
ty of Hong Kong and the LTCL Piano
Performance Diploma.

Lee has been studying organ with Wong Kin-yu since 2013. She obtained
the Mrs Lily Pong Scholarship for Church Organists of Hong Kong Sheng
Kung Hui. She is serving as one of the service organists in St John's Ca-
thedral and The Church of St John the Baptist. She performed in St Paul's
Church and the concert held by the Hong Kong Chapter of American
Guild of Organists in All Saint's Cathedral. She joined the International
Organ Festival Haarlem in Netherlands, and also played in the Hong Kong
Cultural Centre Organ Performance Technique Workshops by Jens Korn-
döfer and Jérôme Faucheur.

Vincent Li earned his music de-


gree at the University of Edin-
burgh. He was recently awarded
an LTCL in Organ recital with
distinction from Trinity College
London.

He started his early musical edu-


cation in Hong Kong. He was
taught Piano from the age of 4.
Later on he went abroad to study
in the UK at Downside School,
Radstock. He joined the Schola
Cantorum and the Chamber
Choirs in the school. With a music
scholarship from the school and
the status of Choral Exhibitioner,
he went on tours with the choir around Europe. He began playing the or-
gan at the age of 13 in Bath and received Instrumental tuition from Chris-
topher Tambling. He continued his organ studies with Peter Backhouse at
the university and James Thomas back in Hong Kong. Since then Vincent
has been organist for Church Masses/Eucharist in Hong Kong, Bath and
Edinburgh. He has taken part in the Anderson Organ Prize Competition.
He has given organ recitals in Hong Kong, Downside school and at the
University of Edinburgh.

Resident in Hong Kong from 2004, Rob-


in Newman studied the piano with
Chong Ying, achieving a notable Dis-
tinction in Grade 8 at the age of 15, be-
fore starting his organ studies under Pe-
ter Yue at St. John’s Cathedral, becoming
organist at St. Stephen’s Chapel while at
school.

Subsequently he studied Materials Science and Engineering at Imperial


College London, while continuing his organ studies under Iestyn Evans,
Director of Music at St James’ Church, Spanish Place, and a former Organ
Scholar at Westminster Cathedral. At Imperial College he performed as a
soloist with the Imperial Sinfonietta, and as organist for the College
Choir, the Chamber Choir, and the Medics Choir, while continuing to
play in services and concerts at St. Stephen’s Chapel and St John’s Cathe-
dral when in Hong Kong.

In the summer of 2013 Robin spent some weeks working on St. Stephen’s
chapel organ and on church organs in Holland and Belgium with Pels &
van Leeuwen, the Organ Builders who built the pipe organ at St Stephen’s
Chapel Stanley.

Having attained his M Eng. and taken up a job as a Patent Examiner in the
British Civil Service, Robin is currently studying the Organ under Assis-
tant Organist Jeremy Blasby at Newport Cathedral, and continues to play
for services there and at St. Mary’s Church, Monmouth.
