School is a place to learn. The first 13 years of our schooling place a very important role in building our character, to master the art of reading and wring, to explore our hidden talents, to gain knowledge about all the things that surrounds us, to set our future goals and most importantly learn moral values to live in the society. Moral values are concerned with the right and wrong conduct of human being. The most common moral lessons that we have had are to respect our elders, to always speak the truth, to do good to other and not harm them, to be optimistic in life and not a pessimist, to help those who are in need, to not steal, to not judge a book by its cover and many more that brings a positive development in a human being. I believe that morality plays a vital role in the society we live in and from where we get it implies to how we take. A person who has got his primary education from any school is more likely to have the knowledge concerned with the subjects that would help him gain a good job, good statues and a good reputation in the society if he masters the art of learning it. It’s not really important for people to gain moral values only from a school. It depends on the moralist who is preaches it to us. It could be anyone our teacher, classmate, mother, father, sibling but what’s important is there should be someone to teach us. The first 13-14 years of our life is very important because it is a phase were we see thing around us and build our character accordingly and here we QUALITY OF PRIMARY EDUCATION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LOW MORALS IN SOCIETY get to choose to live with or without moral values. This can be most certainly the point where school plays its role. We spend more than half a day in the school for the first 13-14 years of our life which is why school could have a great impact on the child’s character. If the child is exposed to the right environment and the right moralist to preach the right thoughts into the child’s mind than the chances of the child committing wrong acts could be reduced to the greatest extent possible. School as I have already mentioned plays a very important role were as the type of primary educational school that we study in also makes a big difference because not all school provide moral classes to their students. Even if provided many a school may not have the right mentor to make sure that the child has understood the importance of learning moral values. It’s treated more like a subject to score marks than to bring about awareness among the children about the importance of moral value which may not be the right way of teaching. This would not bring about all round development in the childes behaviour indirectly affecting its character hence would just be a waste of time and money. Therefore only a right moralist with right intentions could preach it in the right way. There by I agree that quality of primary education is responsible for low morals in society.
