2. differentiate the layers of the Earth from each other (S11/12ES-Ia-e-8).

Hold up a globe or a basketball and explain to students that the Earth
is shaped like a ball. Have the students write and sketch a description
of what they think the inside of the Earth looks like.
Give a demonstration/ lecture/ simulation proper on the Layers of the Earth

Using hard-boiled egg as a model of Earth’s structure, lead a brief discussion
with students having them identify the similarities and differences between the
egg model and the corresponding layers of the Earth.

Challenge students to devise alternative analogies for the internal structure of
the Earth.
ASK:
1. How can you describe the internal structure of the Earth.?
2. What is the importance of each layer of the Earth?
