4. STUDY AND INDEPENDENT LEARNING STRATEGIES FOR STUDENTS

Attending lessons regularly is not enough for a successful course completion. Follow some of the following tips to improve your English learning
experience:

1. Podcasts: At home, listen to the audio and write down new vocabulary, identify and compare grammatical structures, study phonological features, and get
different ideas for future class discussions

2. Reading: Read book chapters, short stories, magazines, newspaper articles related to the units or any topic of your interest.

3. Forum activities: Participate in forum or blogging activities in the LMS.

4. After class online activities: At the end of every class, take advantage of the online activities in your course plan.

5. Watching TV shows: Just as with the podcasts, watch TV shows or series of your choice.

6. TED Talks: Watch TED Talks to improve your listening and speaking skills.

7. Touchstone Arcade: Use the activities from Touchstone Arcade at the end of each unit to reinforce what you have learned.

8. Social Networks: Chat or speak with a native speaker friend.

9. Technology: Set your tech devices into English.
