NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE USE OF JEOPARDY AS AN ASSESSMENT TOOL IN

GENERAL MATHEMATICS

Jeopardy, an assessment tool, through the use of Microsoft Office Application

Powerpoint makes your review activity more interactive and more enjoyable for your learners. It
makes your review session feel like a mere game which makes the learners feel relaxed (but at
the same time tensed because of the pressure), more participative (because it obliges everyone to
pay attention and study on their own), excited (because if you employ punishments, everyone
will try their best to be the winners).

I employed jeopardy in all my General Mathematics sections and all of them seemed so
interested and wanted to participate. Everyone was pressured to study even the ones who do not
have interest in Mathematics.

After the game, even the losers went home happy and still excited because of the game.

Most of the students had positive feedbacks on the game. They appreciated it so much
and said it was so enjoy and regretted for not having studied in advance.
