Admission Schedule for Candidates who got allotment for


M.C.A. Programme at NIT Calicut through NIMCET 2019
& Documents required for the admission process

1. The admissions for M.C.A. programme at NIT Calicut will be done as per the
following schedule

2. Original Documents to be brought by the candidates at the time of admission

I Provisional allotment letter.


II Rank Card NIMCET-2019.
III Admit card of NIMCET-2019.
IV Aadhaar Card
V Proof of Date of Birth (SSLC or equivalent Certificate).
VI Intermediate or 10+2 Class Marks sheet
VII Intermediate or 10+2 Pass Certificate
VIII Mark list (all semesters)/Transcript of the qualifying examination
IX Qualifying Degree - Provisional/Degree Certificate
X Candidates who are appearing for their final examination and are awaiting results should
produce all original mark lists up to and including fifth semester/ Second Year. Such
candidates will be considered for provisional admission provided they submit final mark
list and the degree certificate/ provisional certificate (satisfying the eligibility criteria) by
16th September 2019. They have to produce a certificate from the Head of the Institution
stating that he/she has appeared/appearing for the final semester/ year examination of
the qualifying degree.
XI Diploma certificate and mark sheets in case of lateral entry candidates.
XII Conduct/Character certificate from the Head of the Institution/Organization last at-
tended/working or Gazetted Officer issued within last six months.
XIII Certificate for Economically Weaker Sections, if applicable, issued by the competent au-
thority( not below the rank of Tahsildar) indicating the financial status for the financial
year ending March 31, 2019 (should have been issued on or after 1st April, 2019).

XIV Community Certificate, in the case of SC/ST candidate, from a competent authority (not
below the rank of Tahsildar).
XV Certificate from the Medical Board of Govt. Medical Colleges/Dist. Head Quarters Hos-
pitals, in the case of Physically Handicapped candidates.
XVI Community Certificate, in the case of OBC candidate, from a competent authority (not
below the rank of Tahsildar) indicating the status regarding Creamy Layer based on
financial year ending March 31, 2019 (should have been issued on or after 1st April, 2019).
XVII Migration or Transfer or Leaving Certificate. Certificate from the institution last attended.
XVIII Three passport size photographs.
XIX One set of self-attested copy of the above certificates (Sl. No. IV-XVI) whichever is
applicable for you.

In case, if the candidate is not able to produce the certificate listed above in Sl. No. (XII) and
(XVII) at the time of admission due to result awaiting/late issuance of certificate etc., he/she
has to give an undertaking in the prescribed format provided during the admission process in
the institute.

If any of the above certificates is in a language other than English or Hindi, an English version
of that certificate attested by the processing center should be produced compulsorily.

3. Institute Fee to be paid at the time of admission


At the time of admission, the candidate needs to pay the following amount with regard to the
category of the candidate and the round in which allotment is accepted:

Payment has to be made through State Bank Collect (online) by following link
(https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm?corpID=365553) using Net
Banking/Credit Card/SBI Challan (by cash) by choosing the payment category as MCA
admsn Monsoon July 2019-20. After successful completion of the fee payment, kindly take
a printout of the computer generated payment receipt which should be produced at the time
of admission.

4. Other Information
Location of the Institute
National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is located in a campus near Chathamangalam,
about 22 km North East of Calicut City in Kerala State. The Campus extends for a length of
about 1.5 km along the Kunnamangalam Mukkam Road and covers an area of approximately
120 hectares in a picturesque landscape at the foothills of the Western Ghats. The Institute is
connected with Calicut City by Private buses starting from Palayam Bus Stand (near Calicut
Railway Station) and KSRTC buses starting from KSRTC Bus Stand. The nearest airport is
at Karipur near Calicut, which is 45 km from the Institute. Other nearby airports are Cochin,
Trivandrum and Mangalore.
General information
The climate at Calicut is tropical with temperature ranging from 27o C to 34o C and high
humidity. Calicut experiences heavy rainfall during June to August, moderate rainfall dur-
ing October-November and mild winter during December-January. Candidates are advised to
bring adequate rain wear. ATM facility is available in the campus from State Bank of India
and Punjab National Bank. Temporary accommodation in students hostel will be provided for
students reporting from 24th to 27th June 2019. Boys /girls who need accommodation may
contact C Hostel / Ladies Hostel caretaker respectively after reaching the Institute.
Hostel facilities
Hostel accommodation is subjected to availability of rooms. Hostel fee at the time of ad-
mission is Rs 15,000/-. The DD in favour of: The Chief Warden, NITC Hostels payable
at State Bank of India, NIT Calicut Branch (Code No. 2207) or state bank collect (online)
(https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect/icollecthome.htm?corpID=366005) using Net
Banking / Credit Card/ SBI Challan (by cash).

Date of Orientation Programme : 31st July 2019, 09.00 am.


Date of commencement of Class : 1st August 2019, 08.00 am.

Withdrawal of candidature after taking admission in NIT Calicut is as per the existing rules
of the Institute.
