Types of Users

1. Client/Guest – type of user that usually visits the website to browse for the data

inputted by higher authorities.

2. Admin – this type of users are created by the primary admin and capable to manage

some of the tabs from administrator’s dashboard.

3. Primary admin – the main admin and has an access for the full configuration of the

data.

Setup Procedures

1. Open the file explorer. Go to C: drive then open xampp folder then xampp control.exe.
2. Start the Apache and MySQL on xampp window.
3. Open a browser then address bar type localhost/library-mng.

eArticles Homepage

This is the starting page of the eArticles where you can find the two main sections:

the Administrator and the Client.

Administrator Section

In this section the user have an access to manipulate data provided account by the

developer or super admin. When you click the Administrator the page will be directed to

the login except if you just back to homepage and there was an account logged. The login

page consist of a username and password which is usually needed for the security of the

data. After that, a new tab will pop-up that will link you to the administrator dashboard

where the logged user can manipulate data that will be shown to the client sec
Administrator Dashboard

In this tab you can find six sections: browse, add article, manage publisher, manage

subject, add sub-accounts and sign out. Below will explain the parts and functions of each

sections.

Browse Section

PARTS FUNCTION

Search Bar Allows you to input your needed data.

Search Button Filter the database based on the inputted text

from search bar.

View Button Give you a preview of the article.

Print Button Prints the uploaded and viewed article.

Edit Button Allows you to edit existing data.

Delete Button Remove existing data from database.

Add Article Section

PARTS FUNCTION

Input Bars Allows the user to input necessary information

of the uploaded photo.

Upload Button Allows you to select and upload photo (PNG,

JPEG, JPG file formats).

Submit Button Save the data inputted by the user.

Manage Publisher Section

PARTS FUNCTIONS

Add button and bar Inputs new category for publisher.

Edit button Update the existing publisher.

Delete button Removes the existing publisher.

Manage Subject Section

PARTS FUNCTIONS

Add button and bar Inputs new category for subject.

Edit button Update the existing subject.

Delete button Removes the existing subject.

Add Account Section

PARTS FUNCTIONS

Username and Password bar Allows you to input chosen name and
password.
Re-type Password bar Enables you to check your chosen password

Add button Add new admin account.

Client Dashboard

In this section you can only browse for all articles uploaded by admins. This was developed

to prevent loss of data.
