Introduction:

Task 1 – 12 Marks(240)
A.

Ethics:
The possible ethical issues for Managing Director and system analyst that should be considered are
listed below:
• First of all, the MD should clarify what the proposed system incorporates with issues called
General Data Protection regulation, privacy information of staffs that should concerned with
Department Heads according to their feedback.
• The feedback coming from HR Department should be considered and their could be equal
effort both Project manager and system analyst.
• Both the primary and implied participants should involved at initial meeting.
• They both MD and developer should built trust between all employee about their
information security.
• Their might be a conflict during team foundation and their communication.
• The project manager and managing director should focus about the positive and negative
feedback arise from employee’ s feedback.

B.(240)
For new system to balance the professional responsibility and standards we need the professional
bodies to built the trust between the vendors and developer about their data privacy. So,The
professional bodies that suits for this project is BCS.

BCS: The British Computer Society is the professional body or learned society, aims is to set the
professional standards or rules for ethical practices for computing that has been working in United
Kingdom. The Royal Charter organization implemented this society in July 1984. All the members
of this society are friendly with the code of conduct. This society aid the understanding its principle
duties and rules with all member involvement in working organization. The code of conduct deals
with the professional responsibility for each and every member involved in this projects. This
process is involved for all member besides the individual perspective were not viewed .Following
are the steps that the TDTR organization should focus on :
1. The Public Interest:
2. Duty to employee and clients:
3. Duty of the Professional:
4. Professional Competence and Integrity:

The Public Interest:

Should practices this safeguard public health and their safety to be safety environment. It
helps to built trust for all the members about their rights of third parties. Knowledge and
understanding about relevant legislation with laws and rules that meet specific requirements.
Members must deal with professional practice withhold theirs basic rights that avoid
negative impact on their real rights.
Task 2 – 16 Marks(400)

This project suits the waterfall software development life cycle. This method is for small project. So
we implemented waterfall model for this project.

Waterfall Model: This model is commonly known as linear-sequential model used in software
development. The five steps are initialized steps by steps. The whole portion are divided into subs
tasks, one task at a time and sequentially for another tasks. According to the International Software
Testing Quality it includes six steps.

• Requirement specification: In this phase, the requirements(functional and non-functional

requirements) of projects are analyzed in particular document. To check ether the system
requirement is valid or not via feasibility study. It require to set limitation and constraints
with timescale and budgeting . The implementation of event by conducting questionnaire ,
interview about their problems with running system with stakeholders mentioned in
scenario. People involved in this stage are the TDTR member crew(including MD) and
system analyst.

• System Design: In this stage we convert the requirements into visualization using various
designing steps with the help of different tools. The static and dynamic structure of our
proposed system should be designed. The designed insist with structural design(class
diagram ,Data-flow diagram), behavioral design(activity diagram, sequence
diagram),database design( ER diagram ,data dictionary) and User interface design.
• System implementation: In this phase the source code are written according to the
requirements. All the structural design and behavioral design are written in code as working
system. The phase is handle by the system analyst and his programming units. The system
developed the programs and integration as units.
• Testing: The running code is tested before the phase software deployment. This is done by
the programmer team and system analyst. They check the running system for possible
defects and solve them. In this phase both the TDTR member and developer are also
included to clarify weather the requirements meets or not. If the requirement are to be
change this whole process done again.
• Deployment: In this phase, the software are lunched in real world or in TDTR server to
clarify the test performance of the project. Once the project is deployed the working
software are provided to employee as a new calendar system. Besides this if training is
required for employee they must be provided. The programmer and system helps to run this
project.
• Maintenance: This is the last phase after software deployment. Its main aim is to provide
support and maintenance of the running software. If the employee faced any problem(error,
defect, bugs) during use the developer team will help to fix that kind of problems. This
process repeated for lifetime by the system analyst and programmer team.

The advantages of project management cycle waterfall model are listed below:
• The requirements and phases are well defined within fix costs and timescale. So the
managing director can fix certain problem within limited budget and run after to next phase.
• Easy to accept the requirement because each phase are well documented and well scripted.
That means the TDTR company faithfully monitored the system to avoid errors and team
will were aware about the problem and deployed to progress.
• Every requirement are well documented(requirement specification and designed phase ) as
well as code which helps to change any requirement will easily implemented. If employee
required new functionality in new calender system . These functionality are considered.

The disadvantages of project management cycle waterfall model are listed below:
• Once the project was start there is no chance of modification in requirements. If changes are
occur it will be more costly and late deployed that directly affect the company.
• The employee of the TDTR organization may not be satisfied because they may not be fully
interactive with new system.
• The TDTR organization cannot run the system in parallel way because it takes more time to
make working software. Ongoing issues is difficult to processed within certain time scale.
• It may contain high risk during developing the software or may create uncertainty.
• There is no room for feedback about new system that might decrease the trust and software
failure.

Task 3 – 21 Marks

Our project also involve risks that we need to provide methods of identification of risks. That risks
are handle by the project manager with his team and the methods are:
They are:

Customer contracts
Previous project plans
Known users
Project acceptance criteria
Functionality requirements
Technical requirements
Project team skills
Development environment
Tools, methods, hardware & software availability
• Interviews: Select all employee for interview and plan for it. Define particular questions
about risks and documented. Finally document the result of interview. The risk are filtered
and priority process to initialize the risk and done by the project manager.
• known User: First identify the user may not familiar with the system. If they required
training provide them. People involved in this methods are selective employee of TDTR
company. The project manger of this company will decide what the actual risk about their
data protection.
• Technical Requirement: There might be a operating system differ from other employee’s
PCs. So the system must be compatible for other PCs. This might be the risks for TDRT
company. The system PCS must upgrade or replace according to software requirements.
• Project team skills: According to team skills there might be a problem or need of expertise.
If the system analyst and his team were not well skilled they need effective training.
Otherwise project closer process my be pushed back.
• Project Acceptance criteria: If the project closure time set does not meet there might be a
conflict or TDTR company does not agreed with the project. So there is no room to mesure
the success of project. This risk will cost money and time.

The possible risks in new calender system are listed below:

1. Lack of Accountability:
2. Cost related tasks:
3. Employee Sabotage:

Pro-active risk management: This risk management that seeks to identify overall risks earlier before
an incident happen. In this current system the risks of employee data and communication between
them. The process reduce the tangency of risks of any accident occurs in future and identifying the
boundaries of activities related to new calender system. The proactive is better than reactive projects
risks management.

Re-active risk management: This management is less flexibility than proactive because the

Task- 6 Software Quality

Software quality is the totally practices on feature and characteristics of the product or services that
implies the desirable attributes of product. The major factors affect the software quality are time,
cost and features.
a) Only two measure of software quality are introduced and briefly discussed below:
• Qualitative Measure:
Qualitative Measure are those which cannot be calculated and depends on prediction or
human judgment via emotion, feelings of user in their perceptive. We can extract the result
in TBTR(about new calender system) with the help of employee by taking feedback or
review about the system. The feedback and review are collected in the views/feeling of user
about system. From the review and feedback we can identify this measure.
• Quantitative Measure:
Quantitative Measure are those contains and depend upon in numeric value that can be
calculated. The time take by the system to load i.e execution time of the program relates to
quantitative software quality.
