to access the plantation activity

among the students of Hijli college.
There were all 2ndsemester student are
Involved. The object of the study have
been to identity the type of tree
species planted. The distribution of
tree plantation area and the
perception of student touards tree
plantation activity. One hand on
learning opportunity for students to
take part in a collage tree plantation
project. A collage tree planting project
is educational fun and lasting benefit to
environment.

 Introduction
The importance of trees cannot be over looked. We
know trees are the worlds air-conditions and the
earth shield from wind and rain. They provided habitat
animals and beauty to our surroundings. Through
photosynthesis they capture light from the sun and use
it to convertH2Oandco2. We breath without trees,
there would be no life on this planet. One cannot
imagine the existence of life on earth without trees.
This project area is our hijli college
campus near by ,kuchlachutti village, kharagpur-
1block, district paschim medinipur. The study
wasconducted to access to the plantation activity
among the students of Hijli college. There were all 2nd
semester students are involved. The object of the
study have been to identify the type of tree species
planted. The distribution of tree plantation area and
the perception of students touards tree plantation
activity. Building awareness and appreciation for trees
is important particularly among college students to
established for water shad and soil protection. To save
the earth from disaster and hazards. We all have a duty
to do more Environmental Plantation.

wonderful project , which also helped me to doing a lot

years accrues dozens of studies, planting tree do at least to
important thing for public goals. Increase the green cover of
the Hijli collage by planting more tree saplings entirely
through peoples initiatives.

campaigns and inspirational initiatives.
II. To work touards replication of the project in
other colleges especially in urban areas.
 Immediate goals :-
I. To create awareness touards people about
the presents days problem like of
environment, essentiality of trees and
importance of ecological balance etc.
II. To run a campaign to cover every remote
corner of the district and to enlist there
supports and participation.
III. To raise the necessary sapling, to mobilize
and trained all studentsto plant more
saplings.
By this tree plantation project we want to
create a clean and healthy college campus. A beautiful and
hygienic environment helps all of the college student to
concentrate on study sports and other activity.
Aim and objectives of the project:-
The main aim and objectives of the tree plantation
project are –
1. To represent that plantation is very essential to
safe our environment and human.
2. To balanced oxygen in earth and control the
temperature of land.
3. To create awareness in touards people about the
present problem like environmental problem,
essentiality of trees and importance of ecological
balance.
4. To established a clean, healthy and beautiful
college campus.
5. Influence all ledge man to do plantation
6. By this project we able to create a natural
greenery and beauty.
 LOCATION OF THE FIELD
WORK AREA
The location of the field work area is hijli
college campus nearby kuchlachutti village
kharagpur-1 block peschim medinipur. This
project has been set on this particular located
area. In this area we found metalled and non
metalled road, shop, cycle stand and many
type of trees. Which are shown by map
below.
 CONCLUSION
The hijli collage is located nearby
kuchlachatti village on kharagpur-1
BLOCK,DISTRICT- paschim medinipur. The
collage was established in 1995. This tree
plantation project peoples are understand
the value and need of trees. In this era
people are destroying the forest to lead
modern life by this tree plantation project
they want to sale the environment. So, the
conclusion of this project is tress are friend
of man. So we have to plant more trees to
sale our environment and to maintain our
eco system.
 LIMITATION
The project has been set with the help of
hijlli collage authority Mr. Tapas kumar
maity. There we have to face some
limitation to complete the project. At first,
we have to done this project. Second, we
have to done this project in a particular
season. If we observe trees by all seasons
then the project have been more
appropriate. Despite beings this limitation
we have to complete our project.
 TOOL’S OF PROJECT
This project has been set on tree plantation in
hijli collage campus near kuchlachati village,
kharagpur–1 BLOCK, DISTRCIT-paschim
medinipur. Many tools were used to
complete the project. Those are-

1. EXERCISE BOOK- The exercise book

are used to record the thickness of the
trees and amount of the tree in this
campus.
2. PEN AND PENCIL- Pen and pencils
are used to draw bar graph and
histogram.
3. TAPE- Tape is used to measure
length and width of trees and to
measure the whole campus area.
 GUIDELINES
In this campus of hijli collage the plantation
project are done by the big help of hijli
collage authority Mr. Tapas kumar maity
many guidelines have to be taken to done the
project. Hijli collage authority Mr. Tapas
kumar maity gave this direction for the
project to be complete in a very short time.
Which guidelines are follow to complete the
project, That is-
1. The project have to compare in a very
short time.
2. The information are collected by
different type of book.
3. Take the measure of collage
plantation area.
4. Take the different type of tree
thickness.

 METHODOLOGY OF TREE
PLANTING
1. Pit preparation :
 For red soil, the dimensions of the pit are 2’x2’x2’
 The dug out pit should be refilled with a mixture of
compost and dug out top soil.
 The compost should be evenly mixed with the soil.
 Green bio mass(leaves) or non-composted material
should not be put into the pit.

2. Planting :
 The plastic cover should be removed carefully using
blade or knife such that the clump of soil is not
broken. This decides or ensures 70% survival of the
plant.
 If roots are grown out of the packet, it needs to
carefully cut before planting.
 The entire soil clump, holding the plant should be
place below ground level.
 After closing the pit, do not compress or harden the
pit by stamping on it or by other means.
