“Legislation has become the dominant formal source of moder law. Legislation is made
by the supreme Law-making body in the State, ic, Parliament. The doctrine of
Parliamentary supremacy (or sovereignty) means that Parliament may make or unmake
any law whatever. The courts are bound to recognise and apply all legislation in force.”
Define the term legislation and discuss the advantages of legislation over precedent in
light of the above statement.
