The orientation of the church is East-West.

Sun illuminates the interior space with a direct light during the morning and during
the evening the church receives only diffuse light.
The chapel is located near to the monastery accessible by the passage made of bricks.

The intervention area is preserved as a cultivation area for the Clarisses. Fruit trees are planted around the chapel. Together
they create a Spiritual Oasis. Therefore it brings another treatise of the Bible,

„But seek first God’s kingdom and righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. “

GENERAL PLAN 1:250 PRESBITERY AND SACRESTY

The person enters in front of the presbytery and that gives him an opportunity to be close to the
celebrant and the liturgy. In the standard model of church, a person enters to church and has to
pass through the entire nave to be in the first row near to the altar.
The plan of the building is designed by two ellipses with the same center. All the walls follow the
organic shape of the chapel.

The Chapel consists of three shells. One exterior and two interior shells. Two interior shells create
presbytery and sacristy.

Flooring is made by locally produced bricks in two different shades. The darker shade of bricks is

used for perimetral aisles and around the church with a particular pattern of the floor. The other
shade connects the assembly with the presbytery and the celebrant with another particular pattern

CELEBRANT’S CHAIRS PEW


The sacristy is placed behind the presbytery with direct access to the presbytery. The sacristy has
two lateral accesses. The doors are made as a textile curtain. It lightens the structure and gives
mystery effect to space.
One of the entrances serves for the confession and another for the entrance of celebrant to the
sacristy. In the sacristy, there is placed fixed furniture for liturgical items and clothes, technical

control and basin.

The presbytery level of a floor is a bit elevated compared to the level of the floor of the assembly.

The celebrant’s chairs are placed behind the altar and are constructed from the wood.

The altar and the ambo remain visually consistent. They are created from the raw mass of stone.
It brings another treatise of the Bible,

From the interior side, the shell remains with a brick finish and it is painted by a color gradient from the main entrance to
the bamboo facade.

The bell tower rises over the pond. The sound of the bell is conducted by a flat surface of the water to the surrounding.
The structure of the bell tower is constructed by bamboo and covered by recycled metal sheets. Forms of the bell tower
and the chapel communicate with each other and imaginary they create one single form.

Pipes are placed around the perimeter of the chapel to collect water. The water tank is placed under the little lake. The
collected water will be used for irrigation. 10m

The main door and facade are made from bamboo, which also belongs to local materials. There are two lateral openings
in the exterior shells which serve to bring light to the presbytery. The bamboo facade has two pivot doors at a lower
level, which serve in a case of bigger mass or either connection of the assembly and surrounded nature. The doors are
constructed as a pivot door with a central pivot.

All used materials are locally produced or even
recycled. The shells are made of brick.

The exterior shell is covered by recycled metal


sheets, which are treated and subsequently painted
and reused as a new exterior material for the roof.

Openings are covered by wooden shades to protect


the building against frequent rains.

The shades are adjustable according to the weather.


They also illuminate the presbitery.
