Oracle Cloud is the database company’s public cloud service

offering. Oracle has positioned and tailored its cloud services as the best
option to run Oracle databases. It is a competitor to the market-leading
competitor, Amazon.

Oracle has a global network of managed data centers set to run their cloud
offerings. The company uses Oracle Cloud services to provide the cloud
applications, servers, storage and processing on this global network. The
network itself is built on 25Gb Ethernet; no node is separated from another
node by more than one hop with the network’s flat topology. This network
gives Oracle the confidence to offer a strong service level agreement (SLA).

Infrastructure, platform, software and data services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, DaaS)
can all be used to extend or integrate a company’s applications into Oracle
cloud or to build and deploy new ones. Both virtualized multi-tenant
deployment and bare metal compute services can be connected with a single
application program interface (API).

According to Oracle, their later entry into cloud computing enabled them to
both learn from the competition’s efforts and to better plan their own entry
