Introduction With effect from April 2001, Makerere

The Makerere University Business School
(MUBS) was established as a result of the
merger of the former Faculty of Commerce
(FOC) and the National College of Business
Studies (NCBS) by a statutory order of 1997
made under the Makerere University Act. Its
principal mission is ‘To lead, innovate and
excel in the provision 0f Business Management
Education, Training and Research’.
University Business School (MUBS) was
affiliated to Makerere University It provides
business and management education at the
certificate, diploma, Undergraduate and
Postgraduate levels.
