Evaluation INDIVIDUAL WORK

Directions: Identify the characteristic of qualitative research which corresponds
to the following description.

1. The researcher has direct contact with and gets close to the people, situation,
and phenomenon under study.
2. Direct quotations capturing people’s personal perspectives and experiences.
3. Assumes change is constant and on-going whether the focus is on an
individual or an entire culture.
4. Begin by exploring genuinely open questions rather than testing theoretically
derived (deductive) hypotheses.
5. Studying real-world situations as they unfold naturally.

Closure Qualitative research does not rely on numbers but rather on ideas and
meanings that will be interpreted in order to form generalizations and possible
constructs and theory. The activity enhanced collaboration among the students
and in so doing; the students were able to develop the values of camaraderie
and selflessness. Students were able to demonstrate their understanding of the
concepts by sharing their output to their group mates.

Agreement Directions: List down examples of possible topics for qualitative research.

Remarks The teacher was able to meet the objectives for the day.
