“Kahugyaw 2019”

The objectives of Intramurals are to provide opportunities for individual development through various activities,
increase social contacts, growth of lasting friendships and recreation for individuals, regardless of their skill ability.
Hugyaw is a Cebuano word meaning “for a crowd to roar in laughter, excitement, and the like.”

GENERAL RULES AND CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
1. Each team must have two male and two female candidates.
2. The candidates must wear the following attire denim, sports, and casual attire.
3. Vulgarity of costumes and attires is strictly not allowed and must conform to the standards of prudence and
conservatism.
4. The organizing committee has the right to call the attention of the candidates in cases of any untoward
behavior that would cause disturbance of the scheduled activity.
5. The candidates shall be judged according to the following criteria:
a. Best in Production Number 10%
b. Best in Denim Attire 10%
c. Best in Sports Attire 20%
d. Best in Casual Attire 20%
e. Best in Interview 40%

6. The committee will not assume responsibilities for any loss or damage of items (cash, jewelry, etc.) of the
candidates.

SONG SOLO AND VOCAL DUET CONTEST GUIDELINES

1. The contest is open to all SCNHS students.


2. Each team should have one (1) representatives for song solo and one (1) pair for duet.
3. Contestants must submit their accompaniment in a USB on or before July 24, 2019.
4. Songs to be sang should be an Original TAGALOG Pinoy Music (OTPM).
5. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

Criteria for Judging (Song Solo)


Voice quality (tonality, appropriateness to genre, & technique) - 50%

Style and Performance (rendition qualities, discipline, timing


and precision, choreography, delivery & interpretation,
Appropriateness of staging of song selected) - 30%

Over-all Appeal (stage appeal, audience impact, & costume) - 20%

Pop Dance Competition Rules and Guidelines

1. All crews should have a minimum of 8 and maximum of 15 members.


2. All members of the crew should be a bonafide student of Saniel-Cruz National High School.
3. The duration of the dance should be a minimum of 3 minutes, and a maximum of 5 minutes.
4. Any kind of modern dance is allowed (locking, popping, krump, house, stepping, breakdance, wacking, tutting,
vogueing, party dances, hiphop choreography) or any kind of dance with hip hop as their focal thought of
choreography, provided that the choreographers of the group have the proper knowledge or background to execute
it properly.
5. No vulgarity, obscenity, and explicit contents are allowed.
6. Props are allowed as long as it will not cause danger to the dancers and audience.
7. All costume malfunction resulting team members being exposed are grounds for deductions. Please make sure to
have dress rehearsals prior to competition to work out any costume problems.
8. Music should be submitted on or before July 24, 2019.
9. Performance order will be determined by the management via drawing of lots.
10. The competition music must not contain inappropriate, lewd, or offensive language.
11. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

JUDGING CRITERIA
The judges will score the crews according to the judging criteria on a 100 point system.

DISCREPANCIES IN THE RULES AND/OR COMPETITION
Any problem or discrepancy during a competition will be brought to the attention of the competition organizer who
will address it with the Head Judge, and/or event committee, and the respective decision(s) made will be final.

ZUMBA MASS COMPETITION GUIDELINES


1. All teams should have a minimum of 80% of the team’s total population.
2. All members of the team should be a bona fide student of Saniel-Cruz National High School.
3. The duration of the dance should be a minimum of 8 minutes, and a maximum of 10 minutes.
4. Any kind of Zumba exercise is allowed provided that the choreographers of the group have the proper knowledge
or background to execute it properly.
5. No vulgarity, obscenity, and explicit contents are allowed.
6. Props are allowed as long as it will not cause danger to the dancers and audience.
7. Music should be submitted on or before July 24, 2019.
8. Performance order will be determined by the management via drawing of lots.
9. The competition music must not contain inappropriate, lewd, or offensive language.
10. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
The judges will score the crews according to the judging criteria on a 100 point system.

1. The contest is open to all SCNHS students.
2. Each team should have one (1) band representative consisting of a minimum of 4 maximum of 8 members.
3. Contestants must bring their own musical instruments.
4. Songs to be played should be one Tagalog and one English song.
5. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

Hugyaw Parade Competition Guidelines


1. All teams should reach atleast 80% of the group’s total population.
2. All members of the team should be a bona fide student of Saniel-Cruz National High School.
3. The duration of judging shall be done the entire period of the parade.
4. Choreography is allowed during the parade.
5. Liveliness and cheers are encouraged.
6. Props are allowed as long as it will not cause danger to the team and audience.
7. Cleanliness and discipline should be observed.
8. Violation of the abovementioned rules will incur 20-point deduction to the total score.
10. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.
