TOPIC FACING TEENAGE BLUES - Respecting People

LEARNING By the end of the lesson, students should be able to: -


OBJECTIVE(S)
1. List out different ways to respect people- KNOWLEDGE
2. Identify the importance of 3 magic words- SOCIOEMOTIONAL
3. Write kindness notes for teachers- ACTION

ACTIVITIES PRE-LESSON (5 minutes)


1. Teacher writes down the word MUTUAL RESPECT on the board
and invites students to list other related words
2. Teacher introduces the topic and objectives of the lesson.

DURING LESSON (50 MINUTES)


ACTIVITY 1 (KNOWLEDGE)
1. Students are divided into groups of 4
2. Students read the task given in the group
3. In group, they have to discuss and produce a bubble map on
different ways to respect people - friends/teachers/people in the
community

ACTIVITY 2 (SOCIOEMOTIONAL)
1. Students perform a quick 1 stray 3 stay activity to share more
ideas with each other.
2. Teacher distributes handouts on 3 MAGIC WORDS and students
solve the jumbled-up letters to get the 3 magic words - tokens
given to 1st group to complete the task
3. Students talk about how to use the 3 magic words for the
kindness message challenge activity
4. Students create 3 kindness notes to different teachers and
decide on how to present the notes to teachers

POST LESSON (25 minutes)


ACTION
1. Students deliver the notes to teachers with selfies as evidence
(15 MINUTES)
2. Students think of ways to show kindness to other people in the
society and share the ideas with the class
3. Teacher ends the lesson by summing up about the important of
MUTUAL RESPECT in our society.
