Work Permit – Key Points

 Limits shall be set for official travel & accommodation for short period travel to OEM Customers.

 Daily home to office commuting to be borne by employee

 Limits to be set for Internet, employee to take care of the phone connectivity – Case to case based
on business requirements shall be reviewed and reimbursed by Delivery Head & Business Head.

 Tenure to apply for Work permit for 3 years

 Agreement / Bond period to be signed by employee – 1 year from the date of


completion/expiry of work permit. Agreements like NDA & Non Solicitation agreement with post-
employment period and penalty to be signed.

 If employees takes rental accommodation at Germany and works at Nether lands - rent shall
be borne by employee or company - Employee only (if two employee stays at a time rent will be
divided between two)

 Reimbursement of travel to Germany – Netherlands – Germany for weekends - Should be


borne by employee only

 Netherlands accommodation for week days - Normally we will ask our client to give
accommodation or pay for it. If client says no then Company shall borne the rentals.

 Family travel, tickets – shall be of Employee

 Is company giving any initial allowances to employee on work permit (relocation


allowance)/ or recoverable salary advance – Company can give recoverable salary advance,
recovered in 2-3 months’ salary

 Annual travel Single/ family – yearly once round trip to India to employee only upon
completion 1 year work permit tenue
 Annual increment process – while in onsite 2% - 5%

 When resources comes to India, what will be the salary to be processed in Indian payroll -
Previous drawn Indian salary shall be processed and as a consultant during mid of work
permit tenure

 Leaves policy – as per German laws


 If sent onsite , employee will have break in service of his/her India service and lose
continuity of all statutory benefits like gratuity , pf service etc.,

 Any other personal contingencies related to employee, employee has to bear his travel costs
