When researching a worksite....

✓ Keep track of worksite supervisor names, businesses and contact

information on your Worksite Tracker

✓ Remember to always thank the employer for their time. Time is money!

✓ Always provide them with your Case Manager and Career Counselor's
contact information should they have additional questions

✓ Have several copies of your resume on hand if you choose to go door-to-

door, otherwise, make sure to ask the supervisor for their email for future
positions

✓ Be sure to let the employer know that you are seeking an internship to gain
valuable experience for your career interests---this is not employment
Scheduling

✓ Meet with your Case Manager to determine a schedule that suits you best

✓ Your Case Manager is aware of your current situation and barriers including
transportation, family involvement, school attendance and more

✓ Although you can work up to 29.5 hours per week, that does not mean that
you need to work the full amount every week.

✓ Think of your total 200 hours and how long you would like this internship to
last. Is it one day a week? Two days? Maybe two half days? You decide!
