Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) works by applying magnetic fields to atomic nuclei and detecting the electromagnetic signals emitted as the nuclei relax back to equilibrium. NMR spectra provide information about the chemical environment and atomic structure of molecules by detecting small variations in energy levels of nuclei placed in magnetic fields. The NMR equipment consists of a magnet that immerses the sample, a console that controls the experiment and receives the data, and a PC to input experiment variables and analyze the resulting NMR spectra.

The atom has, besides mass and charge, as an arrow pointing an additional characteristic: The Spin randomly in the space (or the magnetic momentum) which is regardless the a vectorial quantity (it has value, sense atom/molecule position or and direction) and it responds only to a bond pattern magnetic stimulus Equipment Experiment Phenomena
In absense of a magnetic stimulus the Spin
is directed randomly, but in the presence of a magnetic field the spin get align in the same ΔE direction of the external field creating an energy difference due to the two posibles senses of it.
The align Spin is perturbed
Thus an Intensity (response to the by a second magnetic pulse Fourier pulse) vs time (that takes to that causes a Spin rolling. transform returning to its initial state) plot for all the spins in a sample is obtained and converted into a Intensity vs frequency spectra FID Spectra NMR Spectra
The NMR equipment consist in a Pc which
allows the researcher to input all the experiment variables, a console that controls the experiment and received the data and a magnet in which the sample is immersed and Console the experiment takes place. PC Magnet
