Upon Arrival Motor & Starter
Report to representative Clean starter cabinet

Review chiller logs & discuss operational problems & trends Check & record voltages on each leg

Record any abnormal conditions Check & recondition contact tips as needed

Check contact spring pressure

Lubrication system
Inspect leads
Megger oil pump motor & record readings
Inspect arc chutes & bearings
Take & record oil pump amperage & voltage readings
Check coils for mechanical defects & signs of overheating
Check oil cooling system operation
Check magnet faces for misalignment & bonding
Tighten terminal connections on oil pump motor
Check oil level of dashpots; add oil if needed
Take sample of old oil & send out for analysis
Inspect overload relay heaters
Get alternate price to change oil per unit including cost to
dispose of old oil Tighten all connections

Compressors & vessels

Safeties & controls
Remove condenser heads
Clean control panel
Brush condenser tubes with nylon brushes
Inspect wiring & terminals for signs of overheating
Replace heads & provide new gaskets if needed
Check guide vane linkages for tightness & wear
Evacuate refrigerant & weigh
Test DP flow switch cutouts (chilled & condenser water)
Pressurize units & leak check at 10 PSIG
Test operation of anti-recycle timers
Change filter driers
Check sequence of operation on all control relays
Perform Eddy current test on all condensers
Inspect all solenoid coils & magnets

Purge units
Check accuracy of all control gauges; recalibrate as needed
Record elapsed run times & start counts
Verify accuracy of all thermometers
Drain, clean and inspect purge drum
Test high condenser pressure safeties
Clean sight glass
Test low evaporator temperature safeties
Lubricate purge motor

Test low oil pressure safeties

Change filter drier

Test high motor temperature safeties Check operation of purge timer

Check the operation of all pump auxillary contacts Megger compressor motor

Test operation of oil temperature & pressure controls Run purge & test operation
