PROJECT INNOVATION PROPOSAL

I. Project Title: PROJECT HELP (Help to Ensure Learning of Pupils)

V. Rationale

In Kindergarten the classroom environment is thoughtfully designed to invite,


provoke, and enhance learning, and to encourage communication, collaboration, and
inquiry. The space, with all the objects in it, including the various materials and
resources for learning, is created and arranged as the children's learning process
unfolds – it is constantly being negotiated by and with the children. This fluid,
inclusive, and dynamic social space evolves, in part, as children express their thinking
and wonderings and as ideas pique their interest. Pursuant to Deped Order 47 s. 2016
further provides a comprehensive Kindergarten Education policy covering the
following different components of implementing Kindergarten Education Program:

a. curriculum; b. instruction, such as teaching methodologies and strategies; c.


assessment; d. learning resources and instructional materials; e. learning space and
environment; and f. monitoring and evaluation for the standard delivery of
kindergarten services.
In our present generation there are lots of factors must be considered to
ensure learning of our pupils. Addiction to gadgets and modern technologies is one of
the reason. It hindrance the ability of the pupils to focus on their studies. Another is
absenteeism, Absences even in kindergarten years’ matter. Attendance in school is
the first measure of a pupil's engagement. Missing even just one out of every ten
school sessions can seriously deter learning. Thus, Project HELP is conceived to ensure
the interest of learning of pupils in Kindergarten of Mabini Elementary School.
Mabini Elementary School in Moncada North District that advocates the
literacy thrust of the Department of Education. However, improving the interest of
pupils is a tedious and serious task that everybody should look into. Let us therefore
encourage our learners to develop the passion for schooling. Let us synergize our
educational endeavors to make our learners intelligent. It is on this context that the
innovation is conceptualized and be implemented in the school.
VI. Objectives:
Project HELP aims to:
1. Improve study habit of Kindergarten to ready them for Grade I;

2. Improve the learning outcome of kindergarten learners.

VII. Project Description and Components


The innovation will be implemented for four months to immediately get feedbacks on its
effectiveness. The innovation will be launched right after its approval. There will be an
orientation of the parents and pupils regarding the innovation. An intensive remedial will be
done at least thirty minutes to one hour a day to improve the performance of the learners.
This project is created and will be implemented through carrying out on daily tasks
such as:
 An intensive remedial for writing and reading will be conducted thirty minutes
before the start of classes in the afternoon and another thirty minutes before
going home after classes in the afternoon;
 A follow up/ home visitation will be applied to monitor the study habit of the
pupils
 Every last Friday of the month, there will be an assessment of the pupils
learning.

VIII. Funding Requirement/Scheme


No funding shall be required for this project. Materials that will be used will be
the Printed Activity Sheets, Leveled Reading Materials, flashcards and other sources
that are already available in the school.

IX. Schedule of Activities


First Phase – Planning - October – November 2018
 Orientation and planning with the school head concerning the project
 Submission of project proposal to the Division Office for approval
 Launching of Project HELP upon approval of higher authorities from the
Division Office
 Presentation of the project with the teachers

Second Phase - Implementation of the project – December – March 2019


Third Phase – Monitoring and Evaluation

Monitoring, evaluation and sustainability shall be done through the process of


observation.

X. Expected Output
The amount of success of this project shall be determined by the following
circumstances:
1. Improved study habit and ready for Grade I;
2. Improved learning outcome of Kindergarten learners.

Project HELP will boil down to having all the pupils love to go to school and enjoy
learning because they are all ready for Grade One.
