Rationale RA 7079, also known as the Campus Journalism Act of 1991, legally mandates learning
institutions to initiate and sustain the production of school papers as tool for the learners to
exercise their freedom of expression as stipulated in the Philippine Constitution. It aims to
promote the development growth of campus journalism as a means of strengthening ethical
values, encouraging critical and creative thinking and develop moral character and personal
discipline of Filipino Youth.
The Department of Education undertake various programs and projects aimed at
improving the journalistic skills of young journalists concerned and promoting responsible and
free journalism. This training is proposed to equip paper advisers and young journalists on
campus paper management of Diamantina ES and inspire them to reach higher Press
Conferences.
