1 (a) Derive the design equations for m-derived Band pass Filter. 5M
(b) Design m-derived T section Low pass filter to work into load of 500Ω and cutoff 5M
frequency at 4KHz and peak attenuation at 4.5KHz.
2 (a) Design a composite high pass filter to operate into a load of 600 Ω and have a cutoff 5M
frequency of 1.2KHz with f∞ = 1.1KHz.
(b) Discuss about terminating half sections both T and π sections. 5M
3 (a) Derive the design equations of symmetrical T and π attenuators. 5M
(b) Design an asymmetrical T attenuator so that it works between a source and load 5M
impedance of 260Ω and 490 Ω respectively and provides an attenuation of 40dB.
4 (a) Derive the design equations of symmetrical L attenuator. 5M
(b) Design a bridged T attenuator having a load resistance of 500 Ω and attenuation of 5M
40dB.
5 (a) Design a Lattice attenuator having a load resistance of 300 Ω and attenuation of 5M
60dB.
(b) Design an asymmetrical π attenuator so that it works between a source and load 5M
impedance of 260Ω and 490 Ω respectively and provides an attenuation of 40dB.
6 (a) Define attenuator. What is attenuation? Differentiate symmetrical and 5M
asymmetrical attenuators.
(b) Derive the design equations for m derived T and π sections. 5M
7 (a) Derive design equations for L-type Asymmetrical attenuator. 5M
(b) If the ratio of R1& R2 of a symmetrical network is 1/4. Find the ratio of input to 5M
output current. Also calculate the attenuation in dB.
