CONCLUSION

Ventura pumps is one of the company in Tamil Nadu with a prominent business enterprise. They
have responsibility to shareholders, employees, customers and to improve the performance of the
company and its business doing the works with responsible way leads to prosperity in industries
and communities in which it participate.

The competitive improvement mentioned earlier gives Ventura a confidence to prepare a lead in
the competitive market. Various strategies are used by Ventura to gain advantage over other
manufacturers (competitors).In a competitive market a company must identify its strengths.
Weaknesses, opportunities and threats to strengthen their company and to achieve their estimated
target in the market. With technological changes and innovations the company can develop new
products based on consumer requirement.

Indian pump manufacturers are on a sustained growth path backed by strong upswing in fluid
handling industries, irrigation and urban infrastructure projects. However, demand for pumps
from the domestic (household) and agriculture market is lackluster. Fortunately, this was more
than offset by high demand growth witnessed in industrial and infrastructure sector. With industry
and infrastructure sustaining the uptrend, this market condition favors the organized industry
players with strong order inflow.

The Indian pump manufacturers have an added advantage in catering to the global market
needs. As Indian pump manufacturers have proved themselves in the quality front when comparing
to Chinese pump manufacturers the Indian pump industry has been given global recognition.

LEARNINGS

My overall experience in the company was good and the guidance and support got from
the management were appreciable. Mr.Karuppuswamy Sir, guided me in this summer internship
training. The atmosphere and working conditions were encouraging and pleasing in the company.
In this training, I have learned about management from the practical perspective and I have learnt
about organization and how it works effectively along with the policies and procedures. It was an
useful training for me and it training has added value in my academic learning.

WEEK 1

During the first week of internship, it was a new experience entering into the organization
for the purpose of internship. On the first day, HR manager of the company detailed us about the
guidelines to be followed in order to maintain the discipline of the organization. After the brief
introduction session, they took me to different departments and gave a brief insight about every
functional departments.I was given a chance to interact with the various departmental heads.It
helped me to understand the real market scenario, duties, responsibilities and functions of various
departments.

I have visited

 Purchase Department &
 Research and Development department
Accounts department deals with the financial expenses of the company.They use a software
called ERP to maintain those data without any interruption.Every expenses are recorded and
reported to the concern persons.

Purchase department undergoes the purchase process of the raw materials required for
the manufacturing process based on the demand and the design defined and approved by the R&D
department. have made a visit to purchase department and I made a study about how the mode of
purchase was done and the purchase manger explains about how to receive the indent from the
user and to make the purchase order, how to make order to the supplier and how to make purchase
return if the material doesn’t match order and I have learnt many things and it was very useful in
developing my knowledge. After that our guide assigns data entry works regarding purchase order
using spreadsheet and I have done the work within the given timeslot.

R&D department consists of many persons like general works manager,engineer,drafts man and
technician.It was a pleasant experience in observing their activities.They helped to know how the
department is functioning and how it is important in an organization to retain its market.
They sample various tests to achieve the desired quality level. They cooperated well when we had
to disturb them in so many queries in our mind to be cleared from the concerned person during the
visits to the respective departments.
WEEK 2

During the Second week of internship, our guide explains about employee policy,
employee benefits and employee satisfaction. I was taught how marketing plays a major role in
sustaining with their products developed. Effective performance of marketing department is
ensured after interacting with the people working there.

The interrelationship among the departments are explained by my organizational guide.

The export process of the products are noted while interaction with the people working in
that section.

Financial details of each departments are maintained in a protected way such that no person
can cause any mishap. Next day my guide explained about controlling of inflow and outflow of
cash and explained about financial policies and it was a useful session to know about financial
process performance in an organization.

WEEK 3
During this week of internship, my guide explained about administration, threats taking
place in an organization and our guide explains about employee recruitment and selection process
taking place in an organization(with reference to the previous week observations made by me).

Template to analyze for SWOT is prepared with the support of the organizational guide
and based on that data is collected by asking questions to the persons in various departments in the
organization
WEEK 4

By this week the engineering department and the manager explained about the maintenance
tools used in manufacturing process and the key maintenance of the plant and machinery and how
the technical service of the company is provided when required.

Information on the service plants located in various parts of India is given.

Also, how service is provided to various products sold by them in past years.

WEEK 5

During this week,details about various awards and recognition of Sharp industries are
noted. Organizational chart was framed with the gathered details regarding the
organization.storage and warehousing practices are explained.Also,how orders are placed is also
defined.

WEEK 6

Feedback were collected from the persons working from the organization and various
details are given by them as requested.

Provided me with a completion certificate at the final day with a good feedback of my
performance.
ABSTRACT

Organization study known as organization science, emphasis on the


systematic study and application of knowledge about how people act
within the organizations. It is the estimation of the organization how
people act develop hierarchical structures, techniques and rehashes and
how these, thus, shape social relations and make foundations that
eventually impact individuals. It contains distinctive regions to manage
the diverse parts of the organization, a significant number of the
methodologies are functions of the discriminating research gives options
edges into the fields.
