INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARATION OF RESUME

Don’t Share The CV By Email


All the Students are hereby informed that they are required to prepare their resume in the below mentioned
format. Don’t try to change the Resume Format. Any resume if found in the format that is not similar to the
one described below, will not be considered for executive placements. The student himself is accountable for
the accuracy & authenticity of the information written in the resume. If the information in the Resume is
found to be false at any point of time, the student is liable for punishment. The Instructions for preparation
of resume are as follows.

Instructions:
1. The entire Resume is in Times New Roman (11)
2. Consider the font size of information in the resume as 11 unless not specifically mentioned.
3. Please delete the fields which are not applicable.
4. Don’t change the position or size of Chetana’s logo or rectangle for Passport size photograph, which is
in top left corner.
5. Student name is written in bold font with font size 12. Write First Name followed by Surname. Don’t
write Middle Name. Keep both Name & Surname in UPPER CASE.
6. Specialization to be written below the name in bold font with font size 12.
7. Write respective course name as either Masters of Management Studies (MMS) or Post Graduate
Diploma in Management (PGDM).
8. Professional Experience:
 Name of Company: Title Case, Bold
 Write Latest Work Experience first
 Don’t mention the Work Experience if it is less than 6 months
 Don’t mention the Work Experience if it is in the Proprietary Firm or Family Business
 Roles and responsibilities handled during Work experience should not exceed 4 bullet points
 Write the duration in the format as mentioned in demo resume
 Mention Designation in Italics below the company name
9. Projects:
 Mention Off Summer Internships /Live Projects/Academic Projects
Name of Company in bold
Explain the Off-Summer internships/Live Projects/Academic projects in maximum 3 points and
minimum 1 point

ii. Key Learnings
iii. Achievements

10. Educational Qualification:


 Degree: M.M.S.(Due) or P.G.D.M (Due)
 Board / University: Mumbai/Maharashtra, etc.
 P.G.D.M. students should write University name as A.I.C.T.E.
 Write Percentage up to 2 digits after decimal
 M.M.S. & P.G.D.M. Percentage is average of first 2 semesters & in bracket mention 1 st year
 Write H.S.C. & S.S.C.
 The alignment of columns in the table is “Center”
 Careers should be mentioned as follows: B.A.F., B.B.I., B.M.S., B.F.M., B.Com., B.Sc.,
B.Tech/B.E.(Mech./I.T./EXTC)

11. Personal Details:

 Address (It has to be in one line including full pin code)


 Date of Birth: Write in the format- 12/01/1992
 Languages Known- Write English initially and your Mother tongue at last, separated by comma

 IT Knowledge: Write the IT skills which you possess.(Example : Proficiency in Advance Excel,
MS Office)

12. Write Professional Email ID and make it bold e.g.:- name.surname@gmail.com/

13. Roles
 Mention only if you are Head of some activity, Committee ( e.g. Coordinator for event like
Challengers )
 Restrict it to 3 points Maximum and Minimum 1 point
 Relevant Certificates if required (e.g. Committee Head Certificate etc.)
14. Voluntary Activities
 Write those activities/events in which you have participated in last 2 years (e.g. Challengers,
Case Study Competitions etc.)
 It should not exceed 3 bullet points
 Relevant Certificates if required (e.g. Organized Blood Donation Camp (Do not write if donated
blood) , Fulora Foundation event)
15. Achievements, Awards and Interest
 Write Those Awards Received in National and State level competitions
 Interest includes your Hobbies. Don’t write more than three hobbies (The word “and” should
not be used)
 Write if you received Appreciation certificate in Internships

16. Competencies
 The areas in which you are strong.( Not More than three) (e.g. Leadership, Time
Management)
 Courses/Certifications/ that you have Completed, Paper Published in any journal

17. Don’t change Header or Footer information on the both pages.


18. Save the Resume in format with file name as Name_Surname_PGDM/MMS_Division_Roll no.
