1.0 SCOPE
This Method Statement explains the procedure for Installation, Testing &
Commissioning of CCTV System.

2.0 REFERENCE DOCUMENTS


Drawings mentioned in this methodology means: -

3 DEFINITIONS

4 RESPONSIBILITIES

4.1 MEP-Head (Location – Head Office)

The MEP Head - Projects shall be ultimately responsible for all Contractual matters,
representing Contractor’s management. He shall:

4.1.1 Meet all the Contractual requirements


4.1.2 Authority for approving the Contract Execution Plan and Project Control Manual
4.1.3 Take decisions on Contractual matters related to the Contract.

4.2 Project Coordinator (Location – Head Office)

4.3.1 Project Coordinator is the Management Representative reporting to the MEP Head
and has the authority to review project plan, Project Material procurement, Project
Quality and HSE plan and he shell provide the guidance to the site execution In
charge and the material procurement team to ensure that the work progress In line
with the project schedule and the company quality control procedure.

4.4 Execution In charge (Location – Site Office)

4.4.1 Execution In charge (Electrical) shall be the focal point for Electrical works.
4.4.2 Maintain HSE regulations and ensure safe working practices.
4.4.3 Implement and follow-up QA/QC procedures and maintain Quality Records.
4.4.4 Ensure the successful completion of tasks identified in line with the drawings and
specification, construction program, PQP, Project HSE Management Plan.
4.4.5 Co-ordinate with subordinate staff and execute the works in accordance with the
planned schedule and liaise with the other Execution in charge for effective co-
ordination and execution of site activities.
4.4.6 Continuously assess the actual progress of work against planned program and inform
the Project Head. Assess manpower, equipment and other resources required to
achieve milestone / target dates, in co-ordination with the Discipline Engineer.
4.4.7 Check resources required for each activity as per planned construction program and
ensure all necessary resources are available at site to deliver the schedules.
4.4.8 Conduct regular meeting with Supervisors and check the schedules planned and
achieved, if any delay noticed, reasons for delay to be brought to the management and
remedial action to be taken.

4.4 Supervisor/Foreman:

He shall be responsible for the following activities.

4.4.1 Conducting Tool Box talks to explain the work procedure.


4.4.2 Organizing material, tools and equipment to the work site and assigning workman
crew prior to commencement of work.
4.4.3 Confirming the pipe routing and CCTV schedule from the approved drawings and
Material Approval Requests.
4.4.4 Stage inspection & notification to Resident Engineer for inspection.
4.4.5 Maintaining all Safety regulations.

5.0 CONTROL MESURE

5.1 Quality Control:

5.1.1 Ensure availability of latest “Approved for Construction drawings and specifications.
5.1.2 Ensure materials used are as per approved Material Approval Requests (MAR)

5.2 Safety:

5.2.1 All activities will be executed in accordance with company’s HSE Plan.
5.2.2 Safety risk assessment shall be performed for every job or task, which has the
potential for harm.

5.2.3 Ensure Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) is available with all the workers
involved in the installation / erection work.
5.2.4 All required equipment and tools should be checked before start of work for suitability
and integrity.

6.0 MATERIALS

The materials received at site shall be checked for make and quantity as per delivery
note and approved MAR to ensure delivery is correct.

7.0 PLANT, MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENTS

The following equipment as required shall be arranged prior to execution of work:

7.1.1 Ladder / Scaffolding with platform for high level work.


7.1.2 Electrical hand tools.
7.1.3 PVC wires and pulling wire

8.0 PREPARATORY WORKS

8.1.1 Check for the presence of latest approved working drawing


8.1.2 Check whether the site is clear for installation
8.1.3 Check for any physical damages in conditions, wires and devices
8.1.4 Mark the location of conduits and check for interference with other services
8.1.5 Mark the location of CCTV cameras and check for interference with other services

9.0 WORK PROCEDURE

Work procedures for installation of Conduits are given below:

9.1.1 Install conduits and carry out wiring as per the approved CCTV layout drawings
9.1.2 Install camera’s base screwed to the true ceiling / false ceiling and fix the camera and
terminate its respective wires in line with the terminal indication
9.1.3 Complete the installation checklist and offer for Consultant’s inspection.

9.2 Testing & Commissioning

As per specialist CCTV sub-contractor’s standard procedure.
