of Human Resources at Mercer Health for wich I would like it very much to apply. I am well
experienced with Kaenji Cake Shoop portofolio and very excited to have a chance to work

About the Job
Role Summary – Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this is a
full-time salaried position, primarily day shift with flexibility
required in order to meet hospital and departmental needs.
Reporting to this position is the Director of Physician Practice
Management, Education Coordinator, Human Resources Specialist,
and Human Resources Assistant. The Vice-President of Human
Resources oversees development and implementation of human
resources policies, programs, and services, including recruitment,
retention, labor relations, human resources information system,
compliance, employee benefits and compensation, performance
management, employee relations, employment practices and
procedures, and work/life issues. The incumbent is responsible for
strategic development and ensures that the human resources
function is current and progressive.
Responsibilities:
 Functions as a member of the Senior Management Team and
links the HR department as a strategic partner
 Oversees the full cycle recruitment process with direct
recruitment responsibility for management positions
 Heads the internal labor contract negotiations team and
prepares supporting documents to support the contract
negotiation process
 Performs resolution for all employee relations issues
 Provides administrative oversight to the Director of Physician
Practice management
 Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission and all other
external regulatory agencies and federal and state legislation
 Supervises all workers compensation claims and tracks injury
trends for performance improvement
 Coordinates all employee recreational and social activities
 Attends Board of Governors meetings and keeps the Board
current as to Human Resources issues
 Maintains consultative relationships with all Department
Directors
 Develops, reviews, and maintains hospital personnel policies
and procedures
 Provides oversight to all employee benefits programs with
respect to program costs and administration
 Assists Department Directors in man-hour and salary expense
budget preparation
Education and Experience Requirements:
 Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years previous department
director or higher HR management experience required
 Master’s Degree preferred
 Hospital HR management experience preferred
 Previous HR management experience with labor unions
preferred
 Problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, customer
service and analytical skills required.
