611. Sister Nelly M. Saludo, IMSA, called the meeting to order at 9:00 A.M. She
62 commenced the meeting with an opening prayer.

63 Later she explained that there were two groups simultaneously having their
64 activities in one venue: the parish liturgy heads for their AML monthly
65 meeting and instituted acolytes and lectors for their on-going formation. Fr.
66 Froilan and Sister Nelly would alternately handle the meeting and the on-
67 going formation.

682. The roll of the body was called.

693. Inasmuch as the minutes of the 6th AML meeting had been sent to the
70 liturgy heads’ respective email addresses, Sister Nelly asked them for any
71 comments or corrections on the given minutes. No given comments or
72 corrections.

73 Eventually, it was moved and seconded that the prepared minutes be

74 approved. The motion was carried.

755. Business arising from the minutes

76 p 7 lines 310-316
77 The coordinator of Altar Servers was asked to give the detail of the
78 financial statement as they had already completed the scheduled
79 seminars.

80 Bro. Lander extended an apology for his failure to submit the financial
81 statement.

82 Sr. Nelly mentioned that the AML had been through in conducting all
83 the seminars intended for different commissions. In view of this, Fr.
84 Froilan instructed that the respective commissions have to prepare the

85 financial statement as well as remit the balances obtained from these
86 seminars. The body was reminded that these seminars are under the
87 Program of Activities being organized and conducted by the AML.

88 p2 lines 86-90
89 Multimedia coordinator mentioned that the given schedules of visit to the
90 parishes would not be pushed through. Instead they would deviate their
91 plan to another strategic way of visiting the parishes.

92p 7 line 322-332

93 The financial statement of LECCOM from the two AML seminars for
94 Lectors and Commentators was already submitted to the Ministry on
95 Liturgy. All expenses were deducted and the total balance of P5,000.00
96 was submitted to Sister Nelly. The said amount will be included in the
97 savings of AML as directed by Fr. Froilan.

98p 8 lines 380-410

99 Sister Nelly reiterated and emphasized the need to publish the names of
100 the beneficiaries as a form of transparency of LALLCOWAF.

101 From the questions raised by the concerned liturgy heads the following
102 points was given emphasis:
103 1. Instituted acolytes and lectors are not entitled to get any benefits from
104 LALLCOWAF since they have their own association fund (ILMAF).
105 2. Those who have updated their contributions can request benefits to
106 the Association Fund. This is the reason why you are reminded
107to
108 renew your membership fee before the Advent Season.
109 3. Among the eight (8) Archdiocesan Commissions, the Ministry on
110 Liturgy is the lone Commission that gives financial assistance to the
111 members.
112 4. Inactive liturgical workers for three (3) consecutive years will not be
113 able to get financial assistance. In case they become active again in
114 their respective liturgical apostolate, they have to pay their unpaid
115 and regular or annual contributions.
116 5. Any reason for inactive payment will be presented and discussed in
117 the Claim Committee of LALLCOWAF.
118 6. Since Bro. Edd Babasa has rendered his resignation as President of
119 LALLCOWAF, the said position is vacant. In view of this situation,
120 Sis. Linda will be recommended to be appointed by Fr. Froilan to
121 replace Bro. Edd as President of LALLCOWAF.

1226. Liturgy Updates

123 Fr. Froilan presented the document on Worship of the Eucharist Outside
124 Mass. He emphasized the important details through the following
125 subtopics:
126 1. The Relationship Between Eucharistic Worship Outside Mass and the
127 Eucharistic Celebration
128 2. The Purpose of Eucharistic Reservation
129 3. The Place of Eucharistic Reservation
130 4. Eucharistic Processions

2518. Commissions’ Reports

252 8.1 Altar Servers (AS)
253 Bro. Lander mentioned that the liturgy heads had been informed
254 that the 2019 Formation Seminar was intended for the
255altar servers who had attended the 2018 Formation Seminar.
256Despite this instruction some parishes sent new set of altar
257servers.
258 The body was reminded that it was ideal to send altar servers who
259 have manifested the sense of commitment and maturity. It is
260 Indeed unproductive to send altar servers who are childish or
261 acting like a child in the formation program.

262 In addition, the body was notified of the Archdiocesan Celebration

263 of the Solemnity of Corpus Christi on June 22 in Batangas
264City. Schedule of activities was given as well as the deadline for
265the
266 submission of number of attendees for this occasion. Each

34610. Other Matters

347 Points for Clarifications:
348 10.1 Who has the task to instruct the altar servers?

349 The acolyte is the right person to instruct altar servers. The
350 Ministeria Quaedam states the following as one of the tasks
351of the
352 acolyte:
353 “He may also, to the extent needed, take care of instructing other
354 faithful who on a temporary basis are appointed to assist the
355priest or deacon in liturgical celebrations by carrying the missal,
356cross, candles, etc., or by performing other such duties”.
357
358 Doing this task makes the acolytes different from the Extra
359 Ordinary Minister of Holy Communion. As a consequence
360of the pastoral visit of our Archbishop, he required the
361acolytes and lectors to impart the needed skills and what
362they know in liturgical celebration to their counterparts. The

31 8
32
33 9
34
363counterparts of the instituted acolytes are the altar servers and
364the extra ordinary ministers of Holy Communion, while the
365instituted lectors are the non-instituted readers.

366 10.2 Can we go back to the previous way of holding the AML meeting?
367 Make the venue of meeting easier to reach by some participants.

368 Our meeting is often held at OSJ, Marawoy, Lipa City since no
369 parish offers to welcome the monthly AML meeting.

370 Given suggestion:

371 The vicariates will work together to find a parish that is willing to
372 accommodate the AML meeting. The body was amenable to
373prepare the venue for monthly meeting. Aside from venue, they
374volunteer to provide food for the participants.

375 Vicariates 1 and 2 volunteered to host the 8th AML meeting.

37610. Next meeting

377 Date: July 20, 2019 (900 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.)
378 Venue: San Rafael Parish, Calaca, Batangas

37911. There being no other business, the meeting adjourned at 2:40 P.M.
