2. Reference: CG, Statistics Books
3. Materials: Laptop, Questionnaire

III. PROCEDURE:
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Routine Activities
1.1 Prayer
1.2 Greetings
1.3 Checking of Attendance
1.4 Energizer

B. Development of Lesson
1. Give a short review on Normal Distribution.
2. Provide examples as reference for the following Chapter Test.
3. Give a short Chapter Test pertaining to the topic normal distribution.
4. Check the students’ paper and show the solutions on the board if time permits.

IV. EVALUATION:

Instruction: Perform the indicated tasks below and show your solutions and necessary
calculations. Good luck and enjoy answering.

A. Use the Standard Normal Table to determine the following probabilities for the standard
normal random variable 𝒁:
1. 𝑃(𝑍 < 1.32)
2. 𝑃(𝑍 > 1.45)
3. 𝑃(−2.34 < 𝑍 < 1.76)

B. Assume 𝒁 has a standard normal distribution. Use the standard normal table to
determine the value for 𝒛 that solves each of the following:
1. 𝑃(𝑍 < 𝑧) = 0.9
2. 𝑃(𝑍 > 𝑧) = 0.1
3. 𝑃(−1.24 < 𝑍 < 𝑧) = 0.8

C. Assume 𝑿 is normally distributed with a mean of 10 and a standard deviation of 2.

Determine the following:
1. 𝑃(𝑋 < 12)
2. 𝑃(𝑋 > 9)
3. 𝑃(6 < 𝑋 < 14)

D. Assume 𝑿 is normally distributed with a mean of 10 and a standard deviation of 2.

Determine for the value for 𝒙 that solves each of the following.
1. 𝑃(𝑋 < 𝑥) = 0.5
2. 𝑃(𝑋 > 𝑥) = 0.95
3. 𝑃(𝑥 < 𝑋 < 10) = 0.2

V. ASSIGNMENT:
Study in advance Sampling Distribution of the Sample Mean.
