Introduction:-

I am Navdeep Kaur. My date of birth is 16/12/2000. My passport number is R2628335. I am Hail from Sirsa,
Haryana. My home address is VPO Sant Nagar, Tehsil Rania, Sirsa Haryana. There are 4 members in my
family including me, my parents, and my younger brother who is in class 6th. My father having an income
from agriculture and business and my mother running a small stitching Business along with responsibilities
of housewife . Now coming to my qualification, I have completed my 10th in 2015 from CBSE with 8.8
CGPA and 12TH in 2017 also from CBSE in commerce stream with 70.4% marks.

Activities after 2017

After completing 12th I searched about best options for further studies and gave first preference to my
home country and in my research I came to know that education level and infrastructure is excellent in
some India’s best universities but in these colleges admission is very difficult because they require very high
percentage in 12th and another factor is unfortunately some seats are reserved on the bases under
management quota and others. So due to all these factors like large population and availability of limited
seats comparatively to applications admission is very competitive and difficult in these universities. On the
other hand in India’s average universities where admission is very easy but they don’t have updated
infrastructure according to international standard and current industry requirement and required practical
exposure. As I had no other option I took admission in a college of my city but after few months i got
realized that it’s not a right decision to study from here as quality of education was very disappointing and
faculty was very inexperienced. Then one of my friend who is already studying in Australia advised me to
have further education from abroad, She explained me many benefits of international education and
exposure of studying in multicultural environment and advised me admission is very easy in best foreign
Universities for international students. Then i done some research and took IELTS exam in which i scored
6.5 bands. Then i started research about to choose best course, University, and city. I visited some
education consultants and surfed on websites to get depth information. Thereafter i applied for admission
in some universities for March, 2018 and July 2018 intake but i could not get admission due to I was under
18 that time. So due to my age factor i have to wait till turn 18 to proceed further. Then in October, 2018 I
received offer letter from Federation University-ATMC Campus for March, 2019 intake as course was going
to start after my 18th birthday. Further I sent all finances and other required documents to ATMC but since
2-3 months there is no response from there end. Now finally I am going to change my campus to
Federation University-Brisbane campus to achieve my ambitions..

WHY ASUTRALIA:-

Before selecting Australia, I also searched about similar courses in Canada, New Zealand, UK, USA in
different universities like York University, University of Manitoba, Georgian college, Conestoga college,
Saint Peter’s University, Ferris State University, University of Sheffield, University of Nottingham, University
of Leeds, The University of Canterbury, University of Otago etc. In my comparison while selecting university
and country I considered entry requirements, course intake dates, living and study cost, stay back options
after completion of course, worth of qualification at international level, weather conditions, community
environment etc. After a detailed research through internet and discussion with overseas education agents
and getting depth knowledge about all factors I finally selected Australia for my further education. If I talk
about in short for Canadian colleges and universities Math is required in Class 12th for Bachelor Degree
courses and weather conditions are also extremely cold and this course takes 4 years to complete in US and
Canada but in Australia degree will be in my hands in 3 years , New Zealand courses and universities are
not that much reputed with comparison to Australia and expenses are almost same, UK and USA does not
offer a post study work permit after completion of course means no opportunity of having international
work experience which is expected by an international student after investing huge money on study. So
after taking all these factors in consideration I convinced to choose Australia as my study destination.

I selected Australia for my further studies as it provide worldwide acceptable qualification and academic
reputation all over the world. I want to study in a foreign country because students who get international

qualification are given more job opportunities and chances to come forward than local students. Reason
behind this is that all companies, organizations prefer setting up their standards as followed in foreign
countries. So the candidate who has got qualification and work experience from foreign country is highly
awarded at work place. Further Australia offers two year post study work visa after completion of higher
education which is beneficial for international students to gain practical international work experience.
Australia is one of the most popular countries and is more focused on practical skills instead of just theory
based studies which is very important to make ready for competitive job opportunities and Australia is
known for their Teaching Quality as well. Australian study structure provides numerous ways to students
to get success in their respective field and also a chance to live in a multicultural environment. Apart from
this, I have read reviews of many students who have done or doing study in Australia and these reviews
have encouraged me to make my mind for studying in Australia. Another important reason to choose
Australia is along with study I will also have an opportunity to interact with students from diversified
nations and this will allow me to represent my views in front of them and this international exposure will
be very beneficial for me to have excellent work opportunities in my home country as well as all over the
globe. Australia’s weather conditions are also favorable for me as it is almost as India. So I made up my
mind to go there for further studies.

About Course

My selected course is Bachelor of Commerce (accounting). Accounting is the “language of business”. This
course offers a wide range of knowledge related to accounting skills, procedures, policies and it is a system
that collects, measures and communicates all relevant financial information that an entity or a business
requires for managing, reporting, resource allocation and decision making purposes. Accounting is how
business records, verifies and reports values of assets, liabilities, income and expenses. In this course I will
study about Business Communication, Principles of Accounting and Finance, Fundamentals of law,
Accounting fundamentals, principles of economics, commercial law, business statistics,
organization law, principles of responsible business, financial management, advanced
management accounting, income tax law and practice, financial accounting, auditing, corporate
accounting etc.By doing this course i will be capable about how to deal with a wide range of
people and skills how to utilize time, money , auditing, financial reporting, business finance,
taxation which helps to forecast budget so that business can overtake the competitor. I find that
this course will be helpful for me to satisfy and broaden my career development needs.

Why Federation University-Brisbane, Australia

I found my desired course in many Australian Universities like Latrobe, CSU, UTS, WSU, Victoria University
etc but i prefer to pursue this course from Federation University. I selected this university due to many
positive factors with comparison to other universities like entry requirements, reasonable fee structure,
campus location is attractive, course curriculum, short classrooms , reviews of alumni students etc.The
main reason for choosing this course and Federation University is; the curriculum and subjects offered by
University. I am very keen to study these subjects. Moreover Federation University is one of the leading
University of Australia. As well as it comes in highly reputed universities of Australia for the excellent
teaching quality, generic skills, staff qualification, graduate satisfaction etc. Federation University offers a
world-class education with hands-on, real world experience. Moreover, Federation University is providing
scholarships to every international student for complete first year, which many other Universities do not
provide. This course is recognized by CPA Australia and Institute of Chartered Accountants.

My Future Plans
There are plenty of job opportunities available with this qualification as we know accountants,
auditors and financial advisors are in high demand in every industries and business which includes
banking and insurance sector, financial services, manufacturing, construction, education, health,
retail sector etc. After doing this course i will be able to have an opportunity to get international
jobs all over the globe because the Australian degree is worldwide acceptable and i can work as
accountant, internal auditor, financial advisor, Taxation advisor, financial manager, insurance

account manager, stockbroker, banker etc. While studying in Australia, I will get international
exposure and after completing my course I will be eligible to get 2 years Post Study Work (PSW)
permit in Australia under 485 visa subclass, which later help me to get a good job in India as
International working experience is highly demanded in the Indian market. As per my research on

https://au.gradconnection.com/ etc I can work with many Australia based companies and
international companies during my post study work visa. In this globalised era there are many
MNC’s in my home country who want to hire foreign literate persons having international
experience. So I am quite sure that after completing this course I will get excellent job
opportunities in my home country with a starting package of approximately 6-8 Lakhs per annum
and it will increase with experience of years.

Visa Conditions
I do understand the Student visa conditions decided by Department of Home affairs mentioned on
website https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/. Some of them are as below:
- I can work 40 hours per fortnight and full time during semester breaks.
- I have to remain enrolment in a registered course that is the same level or at a
higher level and with satisfactory attendance or as per university guidelines.
- I have to inform my education provider or DoHA within a week if there is any
change in residential address.
- I must have valid health insurance on time till the visa expires.
- I cannot start part time work in Australia before the commencement of the
program.
- I cannot change my education provider before six months.
- I must not suppose to do crime or any illegal activity.
