1.0 PURPOSE
Drake and Scull International PJSC strives to provide Compensation and Benefit program that is
competitive and is based on market conditions, the worth and value of the job and qualifications of the
individual with a monthly basic salary credited to his/her account, plus various benefits in kind and other
types of indirect compensation as the job and position may warrant. (See Compensation & Benefit
Matrix– UAE (IMS/HR/CB/01/01)).

2.0 SCOPE

5.2. Medical Coverage

The company will provide medical insurance in accordance with Labor Law / Company Policy or
any other applicable law as below:

Categories:

1. SC/SP: The annual medical insurance premium will be paid fully by the employer for the
employee, his/her spouse and all children below the age of 18.

2. BI/A: The annual medical insurance premium will be paid fully by the employer for the
employee, his/her spouse and two of his/her children below the age of 18.

3. BI/B / SD / BS / GS/A/B/C / SU/GF/ FR / CH / TC: The annual medical insurance premium


will be paid fully by the employer for the employee only.

The medical insurance program provided by the company is subject to annual revaluation.

5.3. Overtime

All eligible employees (as per the offer letter and C&B Policy) will be paid for the overtime based
on the applicable labor law and company policy.

No overtime will be paid unless all time cards are submitted on the same day approved by
Foreman, Supervisor or Project Manager.

5.4. Bonus
Bonus is calculated and paid annually based on company & individual performance(please refer
to Performance Appraisal Policy & Procedure manual, (IMS/HR/TD/03 Rev. 02). Bonuses if
applicable will be paid out in July of each year. Bonus allocation and grant is based on board
and management discretion and achievement of targets. If granted, bonus will be paid out in the
third quarter of each year.
5.4.1. Bonus Eligibility:

5.4.1.1 Bonus will be paid based on the KPIs of the Company, Business Stream,
Subsidiary, and Performance Appraisal outcome (please refer to Performance
Appraisal Policy & Procedure Manual) and Personal Achievement.

5.4.1.2. Only permanent employees who are on company payroll are eligible for bonus.

5.4.1.3. Eligible employees must have contributed min. of 9 months to the company
result to receive bonus pay for the joining year.

5.4.1.4. Employees who receive overtime are excluded from company bonus.

5.5. Salary Increments

To ensure consistency of the annual increment and promotions process, the below guidelines
are to be followed.

approval of the Operation Manager for the operation staff and Area General Manager for all other
employees followed by the Local HR Approval

5.8. Job Titles:

Only approved Job Titles will be used. (See Approved Job Titles- IMS/HR/CB/01/02)
Any changes or additions will be made or approved Corporate HR Director. If an addition is
required, the Department Head will initiate the Document Change Request justifying the addition
along with Job Description, Organizational Chart and get the approvals of Local HR and AGM.
AGM will then get the approval of Managing Director. Once all approvals are done Local HR will
send all documents to corporate HR Department for review and approval. In case of additional
headcount approved revised budget shall be sent along with the above.
