THE APPROPRIATION ACT, 2019.

An Act to apply a sum of twenty-seven trillion, nine hundred lifty
seyen billion, one hundred sixty three million, four hundred
nineteen thousand shillings only out of the Consolidated Fund
and to apply a sum of four hundred forty-five billion, eight
hundred nineteen million, one hundred thousand shillings out of
the Petroleum Fund to the service of the year ending on the 30th
June,2020 and to appropriate the supplies granted.

1. Commencement.
This Act shall come into force on the lst day of July, 2019.
2. Issue of money out of the Consolidated Fund.
The Treasury may issue out of the Consolidated Fund and apply
towards the supply granted to the Government for the Service of the
year ending on the 30th June, 2020 the sum of twenty seven trillion,
nine hundred fifty seven billion, one hundred sixty three million, four
hundred nineteen thousand shillings only.
3. Issue of money out of the Petroleum Fund.
The Treasury may issue out of the Petroleum Fund and apply towards
the supply granted to the Government for the service of the year
ending on the 30th June, 2020 the sum of four hundred fourty-five
billion, eight hundred nineteen million, one hundred thousand
shillings only.
4. Appropriation.
The sums granted by this Act shall be appropriated for the services
and purposes and in the amounts specified in columns I and2 of the
Schedule to this Act.
5. Expiry of appropriations.
(l) Any part of the sums granted
by sections 2 and 3 of this Act
which has been, or is issued from the Consolidated Fund or the
Peffoleum Fund on or before the 30th day of June, 2020 shall expire
and cease to have any effect at the close of the financial year for
which it is made.
(2) A vote that does not expend money that was appropriated to
the vote for the financial year shall at the close of the financial year,
repay the money to the Consolidated Fund or the Petroleum Fund, as
the case may be.
