I am Diosa Lyn Torres Garcia student of BS. Criminology one of the
SPES (Special Program for Employment of Student) in Calamba City. And I’ve been assigned in Philippine National Police (PNP) PCR (Police Community Relation) section. This is my second time in PNP and there’s so many thing change in PNP they have so many activities they always help our community as much as possible. All of the police are always maintain their orders in their different responsibilities depending upon the size and structure of the communities in which they serve. As Criminology student PNP section teach me how to be responsible in work and to always be humble to others. They teach each of Spes student to know god first. PNP station have activity which is MBK (My Brother’s Keeper) a saying from the bible’s story of Cain and Abel. “After Cain had murdered his brother Abel, God asked him where his brother was. Cain answered, “I know not; am I my brother’s keeper?” which is Cain’s word have come to symbolize people’s unwillingness to accept responsibility for the welfare of their fellows their “brothers” in the extended sense of term. This activity is not just for the people who arrested this is for all. This activity give a lesson to me that anything we do god is always here for us and there is so many chance to change and there is always a heart or a love for our enemies. My last week in PNP is one of the most unforgettable moment of my SPES day because all of the police officers are treat us orderly they teach us until they can, they consider us their children. They do not want to go home we learned nothing. They took us in BRIGADA eskwela we go to different schools with police officers duty we cleaned we eat we laugh we take pictures for our report in SPES. We make a scene about anti holdup banks. It was a great opportunity to be a part of that scene for the awareness of the citizens. I thank all of the police officers have taught us. I’m happy because I went back to this station. Would ultimately be here again. Thank you because I learned.
