 Fiery Mountains
A volcano is a mountain of rock which builds up over a weak spot in the surface of the earth.
The earth gets hotter and hotter the deeper you go. Far down, about 4,000 m deep, the rock is so hot, it
melts to a liquid called magma. Deep underground, massive plates of rock are constantly moving
slowly against each other.

Sometimes this releases hot gases from below and these surge up, pushing the molten rock up
towards the surface. This is what bursts out when a volcano finally erupts. This is what happens.

Bees are flying insects closely related to wasps and ants, and are known for their role in

about his adventure and the magic candle. Hearing that, the Princes got very angry. At night she lit the
candle and wished that the wanderer disappear.
In the morning the wanderer awoke and found himself back in his ugly house in the village.

Miss Crow had stolen a big piece of cheese, and flew on to branch to enjoy it. A sly fox, who
wanted the cheese for himself, came up and spoke politely to her.
