CHAPTER 1
THE PROBLEM AND ITS SETTINGS
Introduction
According to a study held by Wikitravels, traveling across Tagaytay would be easy for
there are tons of available transportation for different kinds of people. However, students in
Tagaytay usually deal on some problems portraying on what would be the best transportation
for them to use. In addition, the website of Imoney stated that there are circumstances that the
choices will lead to some advantages and disadvantages that will be the cause for their
confusion(cost of the main transportation, managing time consumed and also the safety of the
public). There are three primary transportation available according to Karen Lema, a blogger
and wikipedia: commuting in jeepneys and tricycles, using private services and considering
parents or guardians help on going to school.
This research aims to find the most essential transportation for students when it comes
to safety, economical when it comes to budget and considering the most time friendly. Also the
researchers hope to enlighten and give students the idea on what to be chosen and used.
Quantitative technique will be used by distributing questionnaires to selected students to get
the most accurate information and using it to present numerical data for more added details .
The researchers also aim to guide future studies about the same or relevant topics,
considering that the investigation might change caused by time and geographical factors and

result in new experimental study thus guiding new researchers and students on finding
answers.
Statement of the Problem
What is The most essential transportation used when it comes to safety,
inexpensiveness and being time friendly when going to school?
The study will answer the following questions:
1. What is the safest transportation when it comes to commuting, using private services
and considering parents help In going to school?
2. What is the most economical transportation when it comes to commuting, using private
services and considering parents help In going to school?
3. What is the most time friendly transportation when it comes to commuting, using
private services and considering parents help In going to school.

Significance of the Study
The importance of the study is on providing students, parents and also the teachers on
the current situation on what will be the most essential and beneficial upon the learners
considering their transportation to school.
The study is beneficial to the following:
Students- Give them Ideas and clues on what will be the most safe for them to take as
Their transportation and also to see which is the most time friendly for them.
Parents – Aside from their sons and daughter’s safety, parents will be guided on what will
be the most budget friendly that will help them to manage their expenses considering the
transportation their children use.
Teachers- The teachers will explore their time management more having them the right
time to consider some situations for their students because of the transportation they use.

Definition of Terms
The study contains the following terms, including:
Transportation – Transport or transportation is the movement of humans, animals and goods
from one location to another. In the research, we used the term transportation to generalize
the three available that are used by the students, commuting, using private services and
considering parents help in going to school.
Economical– giving good value or service in relation to the amount of money, time, or effort
spent. In the study, we used the term Economical to describe the most budget friendly
transportation available that can be used by students on going to school.
Essential and preeminent– absolutely necessary and extremely needed. We used these terms
to describe the best transportation that a student can use in their transporation in going to
school.
Scope and Delimitations of the Study
The study focuses on getting the most Essential Transportation that can be used by
students of Tagaytay city science national high school. The researchers will use Quantitative
technique by giving questionnaires to selected students of the school to gather data. The study
will be conducted on the 1st semester of the S. Y. 2019-2020 in Tagaytay City Science National
High School.
