ACTIVITY 1: WARM-UP
PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING
Teacher asks pupils several questions about COLOURS and their
knowledge about them. Pupils answer at the questions. Teacher creates
an ‘English language’ atmosphere, establishing contact between her and T-P
pupils, and helps pupils to feel relax. Frontal 2 min
Teacher writes down (on the board) the colours they already know. Speaking

PROCEDURE INTERACTION TIMING
Teacher invites pupils to watch a video-show of colours using the 2 min
computer case, then teacher writes the English for those colours which T-P
pupils already knew. 2 min
Teaching Tips: Play the video a few times to learn the vocabulary. Next, Frontal 2 min
try to have your child or students say the vocabulary before the little
airplane does. Now watch again and mute the sound. Can you name all of Work in pairs 13 min
the colours? (Use the pause button if you need more time answering).
Teacher asks pupils to repeat the colours together using again the video- 1 min
show. frontal
-Teacher makes appreciations and checks Pupils’ pronunciation and 5 min
supervises /supplies error correction
Teacher gives pupils some worksheets and asks them to solve the
exercise given below (they have to Match the name with the colour ).
Teacher checks the pupils’answers. Teacher reads the ex.6 page 21 and
pupils repeat after her the rhyme.
ACTIVITY 3: FEED-BACK

-Teacher makes appreciations and checks pupils’ pronunciation of the
new vocabulary T-P 5 min

Teacher and pupils debate the topic, involving the whole class, somehow. Speaking
Together we are watching a movie-song with a rainbow.
Teacher explains the rule of the next game: “Pupils which have the Frontal
balloon the colour named by the teacher must stand up immediately they T-P 5 min
hear the colour they are having after all together we are listening a song Frontal
and they have to make up a rainbow using the coloured balloons”.
After all, teacher takes a coloured balloon and asks pupils the colours in 5 min
such way: “Is it red?” If it is RED they have to say “YES”, but if it isn’t Frontal
RED, they have to say “No, it isn’t. It is BLUE.” And so on till they will
teach better the colours.
HOMEWORK: Pupils are asked to think about the method they would choose to teach their parents or
younger brothers/sisters the colours and write down ex.7 page 21 in their copybooks. (3 min)
