Assessment techniques Description of assessment purpose, activity, and follow-up action (use)

Pretest About a week before beginning this unit, I will give a very brief pretest to
get a sense of students' attitudes, experiences, knowledge and belief about
common parts of their body that linked with each sense, good health with
good habits, different types of food and eating good foods will leads to good
health.

Action: I will use this information to help me develop discussion in class, to


develop lessons that overcome students' misconceptions and fears about
common parts of their body that linked with each sense and to build on what
students already know.

Observation and oral In every lesson, I will observe students and ask questions during the lesson

Action: As I read the students' homework responses, I will note for each
student how well they will be able to identify some common parts of the
body and to know the differences between five senses. I will re-teach those
materials for which many students experience difficulty. If only a few are
having difficulty, I will work with them individually.

Independent Investigation Practicing the good daily habits (begins after lesson 1.2, and include
(performance assessment) Lessons 1.4 and 1.5). This performance assessment will help me evaluate
whether students can practice the concepts from the lessons to the real
world. It will helps me evaluate whether they can practice good daily habits,
eat suitable foods according to the meal times, eat healthy foods and drink
enough plain water. I will give questionnaire in each lessons to evaluate the
students whether they can practice the concepts from the lessons at home.

Action: This is a type of summative evaluation. I will use the exercise to


help me decide how well students have learned the concepts in this unit. I
should have a pretty good idea whether students can practicing what they
learned in class.

End-of-unit test Unit test (covers all lessons): This will come at the end of all the lessons. It
will be a paper-and-pencil test given in class. ( I may give it over 2 days). It
will be comprehensive covering most of the important learning targets in
the unit.

Action: I will use the results of this test along with the results from
homework, quizzes, drawing and independent investigation to assign a
grade to the students for the unit.
