Bible is the truth

1700BC, Isiah prophesize about the virgin birth.

520–518 BC Zachariah told about the crucifixion.
Body resurrection and not spiritual resurrection will be easier to claim.
I. YOU CAN TRUST THE BIBLE HISTORICALLY
1. Not legends. Documents are to early.
Luke 1-4
1 Choritinas 15
2. Facts and truth and not words that church wants to say
a. Jesus ask Father to get out of this. Why have you forsaken me.
b. Woman becomes the eye witnesses of original resurrection. At that time woman are not
allowed to testify to court. If you want to consolidate the power, you will not do that
c. The apostles are the successor of Jesus but the are portrayed as weak people.
3. Too detailed to be the legend.
a. In ancient times, legends or myths are not written like : Luke 1-4
b. CS Lewis said
“I have been reading poems, romances, vision-literature, legends, myths all my life,” he
wrote. “I know what they are like.” So if someone “tells me that something in a Gospel is
legend or romance,” he wrote, “I want to know how many legends and romances he has
read, how well his palate is trained in detecting them by the flavor; not how many years
he has spent on that Gospel.”19
c. Two possible views for Gospel :
i. Either this is history report or else some unknown ancient writer without know
predecessor or successor suddenly anticipated the whole new technique of
modern novelistic realistic narrative.

II. YOU CAN TRUST THE BIBLE CULTURALLY

If you think that
Jesus is God
“A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral
teacher,” Lewis wrote. “He would either be a lunatic or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must
make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse.”

BIBLE IS OUT OF THIS WORLD BOOK.

Bible is written by humans inspired by God.

Compiled by humans with God guidance.
Without God, the existence of this kind of book is impossible.
It is written by 40 different authors over the period of 1,500 years.

YES 40 AUTHORS FOR 1,500 YEARS POINTING OUT TO ONE MESSAGE!

All the books from Old Testament to New Testament are all pointing out to our savior Jesus Christ.
Book of Isiah written 1700 B.C already prophesize the virgin birth, Isaiah 7:14
Book of Zachariah already prophesized about Jesus crucifixion (Zechariah 12:10)
From Genesis to Revelation, the books are telling the greatest love story that God loves us and sacrifice
his one and only beloved Son Jesus so that we can be with him in eternity.

YOU CAN TRUST THE BIBLE HISTORICALLY

Every religion accept the fact that a man named Jesus lived 2000 years ago and something significant
has happened. New Testament is written with too much detail like the modern realistic novel. In ancient
times, legends or myths are not written like this.
1. Book of Luke is written very early (70 AD) that says:
“In as much as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things that have been accomplished
among us, just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word have
delivered them to us” Luke 1:1-2
2. 1 Corinthians15:6 “After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and
sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep”
Corinthians is a public document written by Paul 50 years after the death of Jesus.
These books are public documents and will not survive if the claims of these books are not true. There
are still too many eye witnesses that can testify and scrutinized by the authorities.

The New Testament style of writing is similar with the modern realistic novels. Timothy Keller says,
“Either this is history report or else some unknown ancient writer without known predecessor or
successor suddenly anticipated the whole new technique of modern novelistic realistic narrative.”

C.S. Lewis is the authority of ancient writings and says, ““I have been reading poems, romances, vision-
literature, legends, myths all my life,” he wrote. “I know what they are like.” So if someone “tells me
that something in a Gospel is legend or romance,” he wrote, “I want to know how many legends and
romances he has read, how well his palate is trained in detecting them by the flavor; not how many
years he has spent on that Gospel.”
I am a previous theism that does not believe the stories written in bible until I read it, understand that
this is so full of no nonsense, applied it, and experience the truthfulness of it. Now, I read this book with
my full conviction that this is the Word of God.
