The overall industry CVs sales in 2017-18 were at 8,56,453 units in 2017-18

as against 7,14,082 units in 2016-17.

Tata Motors sold a total of 3,76,456 units of CVs in 2017-18 as against


3,05,620 units in 2016-17

The company’s domestic sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles in


FY18 stood at 1,68,013 units as against 1,48,901 units in FY17

Car Trade and 2nd hand buying sites –

LCV customers especially the ones interested in buying vans or taxis would
be frequent visitors of vehicle trading websites where they would be looking
forward to buying better products at reasonable prices. So, these websites
can be used as a good platform to advertise our vehicles.

Engine Oil Purchasers –

The potential commercial vehicle customers would also be buying engine


oil for their vehicles on a frequent basis. If we could target some particular
engine oils to display our products, then we could use this medium to target
our potential customers.

NH Petrol Pumps –

The medium and heavy commercial customers who would be driving trucks
to transport goods within the country would be passing frequently through
national highways and would be using the petrol pumps in these highways.
Thus, these petrol pumps could be used to advertise our vehicles to target
these potential customers.

Finance Companies –

The potential customers of commercial vehicles would be borrowing money


from finance companies especially the big agencies who would buying
trucks in bulk quantities. Such finance companies could be a good place to
market in order to target these customers as well as the semi urban LCV
customers.
