Summary

Technology has made huge strides in education in the last two decades. The need for new
software spanning preschool through the 12th grade has created its own sector within the tech
industry. While the advances have been great, there are drawbacks as well. With the speed that
technology changes, it has made it difficult for schools to keep up. Access to household
computers is difficult to come by in lower income households. There are multiple programs that
are addressing accessibility by offering loaner laptops/computers. While other programs offer
free or more affordable software and educational programs.
